i3 City Navigator Europe v9 Update

The update for City Navigator Europe v9 was released last week. Anyone had any luck working out how and if the update can be obtained for an i3???

I tried speaking to the help desk at Garmin but they couldn't have been more unhelpful or misinformed if they tried (the best they could do was to direct me to a website that simply doesn't provide this update, plus they couldn't understand that the i3 comes only with an SD Card and not with a DVD!).

They can be a little helpless at time, my suggestion would be to contact them saying your card no longer functions and the unit displays an error message, they'll probably never check and just send back v9 data for free.

When I experimented and killed by original v8 SD card they returned it to me saying "saying sorry for the problems we've updated you to v8 for your problems!".

BTW Some of the newer i3s came without a memory card, so I presume the DVD was to upload the latest maps onto these models.
