Having previously been a TomTom user, I wanted an all-in-one package (speed trap & navigation) and this appeared to be the best option.

It's arriving tomorrow, and I wanted to ask a question I suppose I should have asked before I purchased (silly) - is it any good?

I got it about 2 months ago, really pleased with it. It took me to the Golf maintenance shed at Slayley hall instead of the Hotel but thats the only mess up.

Firstly, because TomTom are supposedly going to be updating their line-up next month. When they do so, their products will be at inflated prices for a few months.

Secondly, it's been said on a few sites that TomTom supposedly don't update their camera database as much as they possibly should (one person quoting that his area had not been updated in over a year).

Thirdly, the Snooper system appeared to get a few good reviews over the TomTom 910.

Finally, because I like change

Arrived earlier - looks great (I reckon they've been studying Apple's iPod quite closely), but not had a chance to use it yet

Snooper offer two methods of subscription; a one off lifetime payment of £99, or a monthly subscription of about a fiver.

Snooper have something wrong with the subscription service when trying to use a credit or debit card online. Therefore I had to sign up to a direct debit (and monthly subscription) which I didn't want to do, simply to register the unit and to allow it to download the latest info etc. Not too impressive...
