If I take the SD card out my old model TT one it loses all my settings. Home, recent destinations, gatso warnings, the lot.

It does still have the gatsos listed, it just won't warn me when I'm near a POI. It does also seem to remember itinerary waypoints, but that's it.

This is really annoying!!! Apart from home address, I can't be bothered to program everything back in again, as if you knock the SD card out when connecting the power you are stuffed. Any ideas what the problem is?

Thanks!

It's not generally a good idea to eject media while the device is still reading/writing to it. You can change SD cards on the TomTom as much as you like after powering it down.

You sure about that??
I take mine out all the time, ok, not when it's on, but never looses anything, would take me hours to add all my stuff back on it!!

Likewise, I take my SD card out quite regularly, only when its turned off though, and have never lost any data.
When you say old Tomtom one do you mean the mk1 or mk2 One, mine's a mk2.
