Hi Everyone,

My dilemma is which unit to go for. Both the Garmin 760 and TT 760 have attributes that I like. Neither seem to tick all the boxes. I used to have Pioneer AVIC which was great because everything was integrated.

My car is an S2000 so it’s not the quietest and at the moment I’m keeping the stock HU. I’ve been researching this for a while and now I’m just getting confused…

Prices of the TomTom stuff has been yo-yoing for the last week or so, Amazon, Play and Halfords online all had sale items that seem to have ended. I was thinking of going TomTom 720 while they were sub £200 but they now seem to be more than the Garmin.

The important things for me.
Good directions and routing
European Mapping (western Europe is fine)
Integration with HU
Ability to configure a route offline, for use at club meets etc.
Updates speed cameras

Nice to have
BT integration
Hook-up into HU for music/phone/directions (I have a line-in port on the HU now)
MP3 player instead of iPod

Things I won’t ever use
FM Transmitter

TomTom 720T stuff I like
BlueToothe Audio output options
More configuration options (I’m a bit of a gadget fiend)
Map Share (is it any good)
Voice commands (would there be any point in an open top)

Garmin 760 stuff I like
No Separate TMC aerial
Small and thin
Better mount?
