Saw the adverts on TV saying halfprice satnavs and bikes, bike bloke said it's a con they havent had on halfprice bike. Got told the only half price satnavs they have were the display ones they cant sell, they might get some stock soon but couldnt say when.

Just saw the ad again, it actually say up to 50%off all satnaves what a con how do they get away with it?

As said, key words are "up to"

(and you'll find that they probably have one such deal in their Lerwick branch, to validate the claim )

"up to 50% off" doesn't suggest that there will be any. In fact "up to 50% off" just means that just *one* item can be at 50% off and the rest at full rrp and it would still be true.

"up to 50% off" doesn't suggest that there will be any. In fact "up to 50% off" just means that just *one* item can be at 50% off and the rest at full rrp and it would still be true.

I see your point but, but as the advert is being shown to millions of people i think the majority would consider it misleading if most would not get the oportunity to buy or even see the half price item.

Such a lovely place, I was waiting for my bike to get fixed once, when two of the t**ts working there started spraying WD40 at each other, then one of them sprayed it in my face, not even an apology.

poor you ! try telling your key management that dross offers like that never worked in the 70's let alone 2008.doesn't the fact that you had to explain it away for the whole day tell you something...
