Chap at work is selling the TomTom Navigator 5 software with all Western Europe maps, plus a Holox BT321 gps receiver, all pukka cds, licenced and boxed for £45.

I have an old O2 XDA IIi PDA which I can use it with, apparently.

I don't really have a burning need for a satnav system, but can see how one might be useful occasionally. Is this bundle worth picking up at that price?

Ta.

At the prices for which you can buy integrated systems, for me it would simply not be worth bothering with this setup - so much more fiddly to attach, plug in, charge, remove/hide, etc with two units than with one, fiddly also to manage the software setup (have been there/done that myself - I started with Ipaq/Copilot sleave, then used newer Ipaq with Bluetooth GPS. Integrated device is just so much more satisfactory, can personally strongly recommend TomTom).

Hmm I know what you mean about the convenience of an integrated system, but I can't justify the price of even a basic one of those. So I decided to give this one a spin anyway as it's not for sustained use and I need a quick toy fixwink Judging by ebay (why didn't I check there before?) the price is pretty fair, so if it turns out too clunky with power supplies and wotnot all over the gig I should get my money back. Well mostly anyway...
