NAVMAN S70 - Europe Trip help

My Brother has a Navman S70 satnav system which he has leanding me to go to Italy later in the year, I have got it at the moment and was going to try it this weekend for Le-mans, the problem is it picks up the location but when calculating the route it stops at 70ish%. I don't know if it has anything to do with the Memory card as before putting a memory card in (512kb) it wouldn't even start calculating, this may just be coincedence though so don't want to go out buying a new card if it doesn't make any difference! I have downloaded the manual to look but couldn't find anything...

Any help much appreciated.
