Pocketgpsworld is your friend - their dbase is £19/yr and will load onto pretty much any device of your choosing.

Pocketgpsworld does not show you active cameras, only known locations, and whiel better than it's rival options for ordinary sat navs, 2 to 4 weeks between updates is a long time if you're driving some where unknown.

Some of the present GPS speed trap locators do have built-in or plug-in laser detector devices, but none (as far as I know) will pick up active radar guns.

I think Bell units can pick up both laser and radar and have all cameras fixed as well however i believe its illegal to have a radar detector.

Not in the UK it isn't. If you managed to upset a BiB then they might try to stretch to PCOJ but I suspect they'd have trouble making it stick.

If you want ultimate safety you need a GPS based device, and a traditional radar detector.
Some GPS devices do have the option of radar / laser detectors to plug into them.

Also, a good pair of eye balls scanning the road ahead works pretty well, as does driving at a speed which is not too much above the limit.

To answer your original question, I have a GPS ( syrius proline ) that shows me the camera sites ( many other GPS's also do this ), and a radar detector that will point out the live cameras, and any hair dryers that Mr Plod may be pointing at me. ( I have a valentine 1, but there are plenty to choose from ).

As said above, radar detectors ARE perfectly legal in the UK.

If you want more info, go to

They are very helpful, and will give plenty of advice. ( no connection other than as a satisfied customer )
