its a new live version bought late last year and still under warranty; guessing won't be covered for this though frown

Cost a lot so need to get fixed. Anyone experienced this and know a place to repair/diy?

Certainly won't be covered under warranty but phone 0845 161 0009 (tomtom c/s) and see how much they would charge to put a screen in.

http://compu-sat.co.uk/TomTom%20Repairs.htm are charging £199...

Nope. Tend not to be in the same place for too long as have to relocate as work freelance on site at clients.

£199 yikes as it cost around £270 (with a promo offer) .

Other half is offering tn pay though- lent her it for a journey and she put it down on the floor instead of on top of something to give back to me so i ended up stepping on it. Womens logic. sigh

Its a 940 so probably not common as otherwise would have looked for a faulty one on ebay and swapped screens.

If you have the skill to do that, it is highly likely to be the same screen as used on cheaper models, which would certainly be available for less than £199.

My daughter has just paid £139 for a new iPhone screen - makes the TT price look rather high.
