It's tricky at that price point and very much depends on the expectations. If you want 3 laps in a car at an airfield somewhere, it can probably be done for £99 but these are often a bit of a letdown - over too soon.

Have you thought about a rally car experience instead?

https://www.silverstonerally.co.uk/adult-rally-exp... - they have some £99 options. I'm not sure exactly what you get for that - I did the full day clubmans course there which was a bit more expensive but while I was there, several people did a morning thing where they got a decent experience. Several goes round the rally stage and a passenger ride.

All the people I know that have done cheap "supercar" experiences have said it wasn't that great. Tired cars, not allowed to rev them out, lots of waiting around etc.

I did an offroad day at True Grip Offroad near Ashford and really enjoyed it, 1:1 instructor so I was driving the whole time, doing something completely different to what I was used to. I did a session in a landie followed by a Quad bike "adventure", got muddy, had a great time.

There is another way. BMW recently had a 24 hour test drive promotion. A 140 or 240 for the day although not looking exotic will provide huge reward, and for no cost other than the fuel.

That could end really badly - what's the insurance excess on a borrowed 240? Wouldn't recommend that approach, even if the OP's friend can wangle it.

Great fun and based in Bovingdon near Hemel. Sometimes can get a bit cheaper on groupon. The silver esperience is worth the extra £30 if you can stretch to it.

There's not much around for £100. The offroading ones are good fun though. That's what I'd suggest.

At that pricepoint experience days can be pretty dire unless you are using your own car or never laid eyes on a supercar before....
A decent karting experience would be much much better? I got bought a 1 hour "ironman" race at Buckmore Park as a gift, outdoor karting and it was one of the best things I had done up against people who were regular racers. Think it was about £80 at the time.
