For pursuit driving ok, but drive on the wrong side of the road in normal driving in front of a police car and see where it gets you smile
Its not the "wrong" side of the road.

The side that cars coming in the opposite direction drive on, on a two lane road.

Mind you if they are doing the same everything should be ok.

Well at least we have progressed from calling it the wrong side.

it is only the wrong side if crossing a solid white line / passing the right of a traffic island / etc... and any police driver would logically object to that...

otherwise, you are welcome to use any part of the road subject to doing so safely / not affecting other drivers etc.

I take regular drives and coaching with current and past police instructors - no issues... safety first, but then, enjoy driving...

So would you do it if you had a police car behind you?

Well done, but I bet you would get stopped and get a few words of "advice" if you were doing it in front a traffic cop, enjoying your driving or not smile

Yes, because as well all know, it can improve your view and help aid safety. Depends on the road though, I wouldnt bother on a wide A road.

It’s funny that people will quite happily cross the centre line if they’re overtaking something, but can’t seem to do it when there’s nothing to overtake. It’s no different, but there’s a mental block preventing them from doing it routinely.

I dunno, lots seem to do it on motorways nowadays and don't bother to pull back in when they have completed their imaginary overtake.

Given I've just told you a police instructor was happy to advise on this, then yes, I have no issues driving like this.

As I said, context is everything so obviously not when the roads are full of traffic.

If a police officer felt the need to pull me over I'd be happy to discuss and explain my pov, along with my training.

Making progress is making progress. It has nothing to do with pursuit driving.

That's good then, as long as you feel comfortable explaining to the BiB that you know best you should be ok hehe
