The High Performance Course will be running another Young Drivers' Day on the Saturday 27 July 2019. The event is open to full licence holders who are aged 26 years or less, and who are not already graduates of the High Performance Course.

Young Drivers Day said:
The aim of day is to give you an exciting and educational experience which will give you, hopefully, a ‘taster’ of what driving at a very high level is all about, so that you are encouraged to develop further your own driving skills. The day will involve a mixture of driving on public roads and discussing driving techniques in a classroom setting. The event is run by the High Performance Course Managers, both of whom have enormous experience of coaching drivers to the very highest standards.
More details are available on the High Performance Course website.

It's been running for many years so you can also find information in previous threads, or ask a question here and someone will be able to help. 2 common question / answers:
- if you've just outside the age criteria (i.e. late twenties) it may still be worth applying.
- if you read the website the full course (2.5 days etc.) is a different course - this is a more informal day which gives younger drivers an introduction to advanced driving with a focus on cornering and overtaking...

I can really recommend this course - very enjoyable and a good learning experience, and it's nice to spend the day around people who are enthusiastic about driving, rather than having to suffer the usual morons who can't drive, or listen to the anti-car brigade bang on about how you are evil and killing their children for daring to use the cheapest and most convenient form of transport for you at a speed greater than 19mph.

Another one recommending this - did it a few years ago and it's transformed my driving, you'll take a lot away from it and have a day out with a load of like-minded people too

Just to bump this thread - there are still spaces available on this day in a couple of weeks time - definitely very worthwhile signing up to if you have had any thoughts about looking into how you drive / more advanced ways of thinking etc. - probably the best value investment you can make in terms of improving your driving - and lunch (and bacon butties on arrival) is included!

general approach is 26 and under, but as there are spaces still available, there is a good chance of signing up if you are slightly out of that age band - so def. worth a quick email if you are under 30...

a number of folks on here who have been on the day in the past if you have any questions...
