HPC is excellent. I don´t know if this has changed but when I did my course with Andy Morrison we spent 1/2 a day (out of 3) at Bruntingthorpe Airfield learning what life was like at the limit. So it may not be all road work. You can but ask.
Currently the course involves a session at North Weald

CarLimits has gone under, I had a day booked in March which is £450 down the drain. Got all the letters from liquidators this week, sad times tbh I do feel sorry for them. Overheads still going and obviously huge disruption to their businesss.
Course session at North Weald is still relevant - not with Car Limits.

It might be worth keeping an eye on what resolves from the situation, but the High Performance Course is separate from Car Limits... and therefore not affected by the liquidation...
I'm not sure I understand, I booked the Airfield Training day here : https://www.carlimits.com/script/viewEvents.php?ty...

I've since received lots of legal stuff showing the state of the company and listing me as a creditor (one of many!). I paid in full when booking (foolish in hindsight!). Are you suggesting the day will still happen somehow?

Sorry - no. Just noting that they are two different organisations...
The OP was talking about training, someone suggested the High Perfomance Course, someone else noted that they do an off-road part to their course at North Weald, and then you mentioned the liquidation of Car Limits.

As I understand it Car Limits has gone into liquidation so anyone who has booked a day etc. with them sadly stands to lose that booking... but this has nothing to do with the High Performance Course which is a totally separate organisation, but just happens to also have some use of North Weald...

hope that makes sense?

interesting. less than a month ago it was the supercar experiences being closed and driver training remaining. hard to imagine what's changed (well, the devastation is ongoing but we're looking at domestic activity starting up from spring). Sad, though i wonder whether the phoenix will fly and Andy sends you a voucher?
That's a great shame - I was very much looking forward to some activity days in the summer.

Can only hope that some kind of training activity will carry on at North weald; It's nice and local to me.

OP... it’s a car.
The best thing you can do is get it set up properly and not drive it like a tool. I had 4 TVR’s including a Tuscan, and didn’t ditch any of them. If you’re switched on you’ll soon realise it won’t help you out or forgive you much like modern driver aided cars. That will probably focus you.
Until things open up in the world, just drive it, respect it, enjoy it, and don’t bother about trying to get it to stepping out in the name of fun, or having “I wonder if” moments. That’ll be when the pain starts.

Really sad to see carlimits has gone under - reading this thread had me checking for availability this year and nearly tried to book something.

There is a big disclaimer on their website a few days ago saying 'do not pay for anything'.

A great pity, I know of few other places where you really can just push your car and yourself over the limits in a consequence-free way and really learn about your car.

I hope it gets resurrected in some form.

Ah gotcha, crossed wires! Interestingly enough it seems this has popped up now http://drivelimits.com/. Same instructor, same days, same location! Infact the day I booked (10th March) is even listed. Bit painful to see tbh. I guess it's the instructor going on his own way, but obviously my booking has fallen through the cracks.

That is a good sign (Unfortunate about your booking though, of course!)

The several days I've done have always been with Mark, and I've always had a very good experience - Re. The HPC Training links, Mark is the one that carries this out so I'd expect that will hopefully continue at North weald as well.
