Which course for my 48 year old daughter?

So, she grew up with fast stuff, and she’s a proper petrol head, some years back she got a bike license so she’s no stranger to ‘making progress’ on quick stuff either.. all that said, she’s never owned or driven something ‘properly quick’ on a daily basis. Until now so her and other half have just taken delivery of a new Supra GR, the one with the 400 odd bhp M4 lump in it. Obviously, she loves it

So, cut a long story short, I want to get her a one day driving course for her birthday which is coming up early December, but which one? Seems there are a few choices for advanced driving, high performance, off road handling etc…

Any advice very welcome, thanks in advance,

Don't get me wrong, CarLimits are great. It's just that in 99.9% of your driving you don't have the room to employ the skills you'll learn.

Agreed.

Carole will give her a half-day coaching session at the end of which she'll give her a list of areas to work on before she returns for the two day High Performance Course.

You did say you wanted to pay for a one day course, but be warned, after your daughter's initial half-day with Carole you'll be in for the whole two-and-half days. But, hey, I know, that's daughters for you.

Edited to add: I gather the car is capable of 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds. Carole will coach your daughter to explore and use the potential of the car on the road, whilst remaining completely safe at all times.

Agree entirely with Dave and John - think of Car Limits as more for entertainment, HPC as more to improve driving skills for life and to get greater enjoyment of a quick car on the road. Actually, if she ever gets to do the full HPC course, it includes a Car Limits session.

But I have to be a pedant, I don't think the BMW engine used by the GR Supra is the M4 one - it is known as the B58 engine and is used in the 340. In the Toyota it seems to have about 380 bhp, whereas the current M4 has just over 500. No-one needs more power than the Toyota has, and few people can use more safely!

I agree with Dave, John and Mark. Car Limits is more like entertainment, but HPC improves fast road driving skills considerably. HPC gives greater driving enjoyment for life.
