Indicating at roundabouts

Why have drivers suddenly decided to hug the outside kerb of every roundabout ?

Makes it difficult on small ones to work out where they are going with the inevitable lack of indication.

I was taught to pass the test. Then I learnt to make my own mind up about what would be most informative and least confusing to other road users (especially important for pedestrians). That often meant no signal at all.

I think it’s safer if we all follow the same rules than if we all decide to make up our own rules because we think they’re somehow better.
