Had anyone on here watched the Roadcraft advance driving for the police dvd and if so what do you think?

It is actually of a standard course, not an advanced course and it is pretty mediocre in my opinion.

If it's the same as the video-tape, I found it interesting for its demonstration of the system, approach to overtaking and limit point analysis. All demonstrated, from what I could see, within the bounds of the law. As to whether it's of interest to others, or simply common sense, I couldn't comment.

I'd like to watch it all the same, but I could not find it on amazon. Anyone know where I can get it?

I liked it, but that probably says more about me than the DVD. It is the Roadcraft book plus skidpans, so if you liked the book you'll like the DVD.

It covers all the IAM stuff, and it's good to see others doing it to get a different perspective.

You can get it from www.tso.co.uk/cbi/bookstore.asp. Cost is about £20 including VAT and postage. I recommend you ring it through, and it will only take a couple of days to arrive.

its not that bad, a bit old fashioned, not enough infront camara views of what there looking out for and actually tec stuff on how to do certain moves such as smooth down shifting and visual scanning of the road as well as comentery but on a whole it had a bit of police, camara, action look to it which looked a bit low budget and unprofessional.

i liked the fact that the trainers were telling the trainees where they were going wrong and what was actulally happening to the mechanics of the veh. The observation was excellent for instance the horse sh*t on the road and the fact that it looked fresh (how wierd is that) that there could be horses in the road ahead!

some good pointers picked up all in all just could have done with being a bit more in depth.
