I'm afraid I have no idea what limit point analysis is confused

Would be great if you could explain
Watching the furthest point in the road ahead move in front of you, if its gets closer quickly slow down, if it moves away accelerate. It defines how quickly you can travel within your line of sight, shows you how sharp most bends are & what speed you can drive them, many drivers do it naturally through instinct but if its explained to you you will be amazed at what you've been missing all this time.

Its classic Roadcraft at its best I'd highly recommend to get a copy of the Roadcraft book & have a read.

Thank you

Sounds pretty close to what I do naturally, but I'd never heard it explained in that way before.

I think a copy of Roadcraft would be a good investment read

I've written some stuff on cornering. The first one, with some stuff about limit point use is here...

Some advice on bend assessment without the limit point is here...

And one about linking corners...

I will be posting more on the subject, including some videos, but I'm getting married next week, so I haven't had much time to write recently.

Keep an eye on this forum for more soon.

It would indeed, although you may wish to consider an Advanced Course, as Roadcraft is more than a book (excellent though the book is). Also, LPA can be a bit misleading if you just read it.

You seem the sort that would benefit; you accepted that you did something wrong, you didn't blame everyone else, or the road, or the BiB (or is that just 'speed, plod and the law'), you asked for advice, you've learned from your mistakes, and you are looking to develop and improve. Clearly no scuffer or scroat here; I take it you don't own a jampotted clio.

Go for it, you know it makes sense.

Thanks for the kind words, good to know I'm on the right track smile

I ordered a copy of roadcraft earlier today, and will definately consider an advanced driving course. (been toying with the idea for years actually, maybe this is the kick up the acensorede I needed)

No chavved up Clio laugh

MG ZR 160, which I'm sure is nearly as bad!
