Has anyone done the BMW Driver Training day at the Nurburgring in the Z4MC?

If so, what was it like, how much track time, quality of tuition etc....also on the website I noticed that for full laps it appears that you have to follow a pace car - is there no opportunity for flying laps, if not does the pace car go at a reasonable pace or does it just potter round?

I quite like the idea of doing it as an introduction to the 'Ring in a car other than my own, to learn the course and make the inevitable mistakes without damaging my p&j.

BMW driver training? They teach things like how to tailgate and how to not use indicators laugh

Seriously though, if the pacecar is one of the M5 ringtaxis then I wouldn't worry about it slowing you down tongue out

That's the whole point of it - to learn it in sections, keep repeating them etc.

I know a few people that did it a few years ago and they made it sound pretty good. I understand it can be difficult for non-domestics to get on it.

Gyrock a member on here has done it 3 years on the trot, most recently in his Z4M ... and previously in the CSL which I now own.

I think I'll do it myself next year. I did 55 laps last year and have done 26 this year, but fancy doing 1 public weekend and one organised track/training event in the future.
