So you have used a McLeoad / Lakewood or similar belhhousing to get from the back of the LS to the front plate on the t5?

Modding input shaft for 26spine or the SL clutch plate to 23 spline.

Did look at this route.

Nope. Looked at that and that doesn't fit. Let's say I have a big piece of ally that will need a bit of milling

You can make anything fit - should have seen the size of the lump gbox and LS6 when all bolted together - mind you no t56!

Later @ The Ace on Friday.

Bed my new tyres in with a few Burn-outs.....

Adaptor plate between t5 bell housing and ls6 engine could be an easy solution once machined. Some people are doing this already. Another possibility is to use a certain yank T5 and the bell from another yank box. Downside here is you need 2 boxes to get the bell housings!

A T56 can be made to fit (with a few chassis rails moved!)

Blimey Colin - that's fairly serious chassis butchery.

Yep Colin - looked at it but did not want to chop the chassis and the bulk / weight - TKO is more than T5 but not much (at least on current one) - what is the iron lump on the end? Pre-LS SBC?

Crowbar will be used as the gear lever.

Engine is a ZZ4 fastburn. Came new in a crate with all the other stuff I acquired from various sources in the USA. A friend who works at GM got me the engine and box at 'trade' prices, which is not a lot

I had a pic somewhere of the chassis fully rebuilt but can't find it. Work should be done by the end of the year, providing Mr Hall doesn't wan't something else done to the Thorpedo
