"While turbocharged and supercharged engines may deliver heroic levels of torque, if you are a purist who values crisp throttle response, there is no simply no substitute for a sharp, normally-aspirated motor like the all-new 4.3 litre Aston Martin V8. Delivering its 380bhp at 7,000rpm with 410Nm (302 lb ft) of torque at 5,000rpm, it rockets the 1,570kg V8 Vantage to 100km/h in just 5.0 sec (0-60mph in 4.8 sec) and on to a top speed of 280km/h (175mph)."

More . . .

Bit expensive . . . the Lexus 4.3 looks reasonable . . .

although the British Aston V8 as opposed to the current Cologne one could be bought in seven litre 550bhp n/a form.

If anyone wants to use a T5 (very light weight and small) vs something bigger and heavier but is put off by its lack of power handling - check out G Force transmissions they can upgrade it to 500 ~ 600 ft pound torque

I reckon your on G force commission...

I wish..
$1700 and then get it over here an pay tax / import and THEN you have to fit it - and get bellhousing and adaptor plate. TKO will be easier and hardly any different when you add it all up!

If I do a cerb it would still be with an LSx and no cutting anything - NOooo way - insurance and messing what TVR designed does not sit well with me. If you can get an RV8 in a Cerb with no chassis mod (and youcan cos there is chap doing it!) - you can get the LSx in there - exhaust going forward.

Someone - let me prove it. Easy - Ooh and my budget was not huge once selling base 500 engine and box is backed out of it - cheaper than several allegded 400bhp Rv8!
