Done. Thank you so much; the screws/rivets just made it look as though it was attached to the main body. There are now two holes where the cover sits. Easy when you know how!

Thanks again and more to the car boot sale!

Am so glad it wasn't just me that couldn't work out how to do it!

Tried removing the cargo shade also. It's actually pretty easy, from the back of the car place your hand on the upper part of the plastic mount, it slides easily to the left. Similar for the driver side. Reinstall the same way

blimey - retro thread revival! i haven't had that V70 for almost ten years now. guy bought it to export to Poland, hopefully it's loving it's time out there.

fun story about that V70 and removing the parcel shelf...

i took everything out to get some scaffolding boards in (they kinda fitted!) but then had to go to B&Q to get some brackets as was making them into raised beds. i'd loaded ten or so of them into the car and had to tilt the passenger seat all the way forward.

this was great until i got to B&Q and realised my wallet was in the glovebox. trapped behind the tilted car seat and a fair few kgs of wood! had to move them back one by one just to get to the glovebox. took me longer to get to my wallet than it did to buy the bloody brackets. :O
