had mine 2 weeks now ( 3.0 ),, what a machine! not worked out what all the gadgets do and need to subscribe to the Oncall app

Previously owned a mk5 golf GTI and thought that was the best all round family car you could get... not anymore!. Quiet and understated when you want ,,and an absolute stealth missile when you don't.

Mine is black but can't upload a pic as cannot work out how to shrink the photo on my phone to fit!
Have a good play with the Oncall app. You can remote start so it can warm on a winters morning (or vice versa in summer)

Just turned over 19,000 miles and still loving this car. Had a little play in the snow in the car park this morning and it does everything it should. The Maxxis tyres seem to be lasting a lot better than the original Michelins (5,000 miles done and no appreciable wear).
It continues to be an excellent 'Q' car . . .

Well nearly 3 years on there is still very little below £25k on the market. I think the car has suprise everyone. Very tempted to jump in, probably a 3.0.
If you can find one - the 3.0 seem to be fairly thin on the ground at the moment . . .

What are you thinking of moving onto Tim?
Something smaller and more economical (MrsTheWife recently bought a bigger car and this is too big to mostly ferry me around in)

Ah you’ll regret it some day! Were you on the polestar Nurburgring trip? Looked a lot of fun!
I was indeed, it was a great weekend. Pity I was the furthest north and had to leave the fun early. Did 500 miles home in a day!

Did you sell it ok in the end? We're about to put ours on classifieds - six cylinder like yours in blue. Great car but need to make space for an impending purchase! We whipped down to Classic Le Mans in it for a swansong - air con swung it for the trip with this current hot spell smile
Yes, it went to a Volvo fan from the Nottingham area - came to view it on a Sunday, left a deposit and after bank transfer drove it home on the Wednesday.

You might have a job selling privately, I had to drop the price lower than I'd have liked (not by haggling) to get any interest. Problem is even three years old they are still quite high value and people tend to want finance and warranty which a private seller can't supply.

Got this beauty now though . . .

anyone would think I like blue cars or something . . .missing some of the six cylinder grunt but not the MPG

Anybody on here own the white Polestar I've seen in Ripon?
Reg plate has an 03 on it I think
He's just joined the Polestars UK group on Facebook - it's a 65 plate, so a 6 cylinder

Good point about the private sale thing. I'll have to give it some thought. Cheers.
I had the car on Autotrader and here on Pistonheads. The buyer saw it on a Facebook Volvo group and contacted me via the Autotrader advert.

18 months out of the loop, so can't really answer your question. The 6 is better to drive and sounds great. But the 4 ends up with more power and better MPG. The best I ever got from my 6 was 35mpg on a really slow run down to the Eurotunnel. Commute to work about 20.

Thanks, do you miss yours? Still enjoying the Alfa?
It's one car (I've had a few) that I miss, but it was going to start costing me big money (£1600 for front disc and pads), plus the MPG and VED

The Alfa is great - much better on fuel, nice interior, beautiful direct steering.

Holy thread resurrection!

I still can't get over the Swedish Racing Green of my old car, so when I ordered a new car recently I had to get something very similar
