Stop/Start too eager to stop ...is it just me...and others!

2015 XC60 ...lovely car, but the stop/start quite often stops the car when still slowly moving (ie slowly in stop-start traffic) its annoying and potentially dangerous as it turns of the power steering.

Raised it when serviced and the Volvo dealership said ti was not faulty.

However, I was in a friends XC90 the other day and it did the same...when I said I thought it was just mine that did that, he said the same about his!

Do others have this issue?

My 2017 XC60 is a pain with ss. Find that we stop and before we can select reverse to go up the drive , its shut down and then frantically tries to start and reverse at the same moment. Needs a 2 second delay put in the software. We get so annoyed with the SS, which we would use if it was sensible , we routinely turn it off.

is it an auto? i had a v40 that was very eager - since replaced with a skoda with dsg box that is even more eager, my beef is that it engages even on a cold engine. Needless to say its switched off at startup!

Yes...its the auto...guess its no problem on the manuals

Ours is manual and works as expected.

But have to take it of gear and foot off clutch for it to work.
