Had the XC delivered this morning

Couple of question for everyone....

Was the car driven to you or deliverd on a trailer? During the order it was promised that the car would be trailered howver it was driven here and now has 260 miles on it - not a big deal but was just wondering

Also is the load cover in the boot automatic for you or do you have to release and place it manually each time?

There was talk of mine being driven however in the end it was trailered. Manual load cover in mine, though I’m sure I watched a video stating it was automatic and standard.

What’s your thoughts on the XC?

Don't know if normal, but I would be mightly annoyed if my 'new' car was deliverd with 260 miles on it!

Only driven it 3 miles so far but will be giving it a proper run this evening.. did find the steering very light ( even in dynamic mode) for me personally but my wife will be the main driver so perfect for her . Initial impressions of the car very good - Nice driving posistion and compared to an X3 i drove last week I prefered this.

I also had an MY17 diesel XC60 for 2 weeks in Dec as a hire car - this version is a big step up..

I did notice that in 260 miles that were on the clock the driver only managed 26 mpg - not great but expect that to improve ..

Did sit in the car and played with quite a few settings and like the sensus system and layout very much. Taking into account how much we are paying on this lease i dont think there is a car that would come close to matching the comfort and build quality the XC has.

Am actually soo glad that I got buggered on the oridignal A6 deal by Lex and have this instead.

If my memory is correct I'm sure the oridignal spec said automatic load cover..

My last lease from mercedes was the same - got driven to me but i knew that when ordering - on this it was specifically mentioned that it would be trailered

As its a lease car and will be returning in 2 years im not overly concerned. Still has a new car smell and it came with over half a tank of petrol which i know i wouldnt have got if it was trailered.

Car arrived yesterday, driven up from Swansea, it's a quality piece of kit! Amber interior is really nice and brightens up the cabin, info system is great and spotify etc works really well, even have an app where i can put the AC on or heat the car before i go to it, pre load sat nav stuff etc.

The petrol engine is really smooth and responsive, i'd go as far as to say it's pretty dam nippy for a car of its size, totally chuffed with it, and a steal at the prices we got, mine was a basic momentum but the finish and level of kit you wouldn't know it was the base model.

My standard Momentum is due tomorrow but have just noticed that Volvo now offer a different 18" wheel choice (Look nicer IMHO) for no charge. Although too late now, i don't remember these being available as a no cost option in December. Can anyone remember or have they changed things slightly? Ta

On the subject of connectivity and apps, I think my Sensus needs an update as when I visit the download centre it will not show any new applications to download. I’ve successfully connected my phone via WiFi for Spotify and whilst the system indicates there’s a new update available, it won’t let me install. Didn’t really fancy a dealer visit this early on. I assume, when you guys click on the download centre, it refreshes with available apps to download?

I expect this might be a Model Year 2018 to MY19 change

Car turned up today. Driven by a nice older gentleman who managed 29.6 mpg from Swansea to W Yorkshire. Not too bad. Overall very pleased for the money. Part of me wishes I had stumped up more cash for the R Design (I like bigger wheels and bling) but the cream/white leather interior sort of compensates. Engine lively for such a large car. Denim Blue is a bit of a dowdy metallic - not 100% sure on this option but hey ho - only 2 years. 18s a bit small. Managed to blag extra discount on GAP insurance from ALA - they are doing a Money Saving Expert promo which gives more discount (MSE25 is the code). Managed a further £30 off the initial quote. Speak to Katie if you fancy a haggle!

Hi All,

So, our ICarLease turned up last week! Driven from Swansea to Staffs, so around 150miles on it, not a problem and can't really remember if anyone promised trailer or not. Think they just said it would be delivered. Life's to short to worry about that!

Wife is very pleased with it, quality bit of kit, got the R Design, only slight downer was, the Engine light was on, which must have either been on from the PDI/Dealer or came on, on the way up from Swansea.

Popped into Stoke dealer yesterday who scanned it and found an o2 sensor fault log, cleared it, checked it, checked for leaks and can't find anything, they said just organise to come back in if it happens again for deeper investigation. Very helpful and very nice. Bit of a bummer visiting them so early on, but again, life's to short really!

Osymium Grey with Front park sensors and Android Auto were my options and very very pleased with them!

Seems to be a manual boot cover from what I can see, as I took it out completely and put it back in again.

Andrew was FANTASTIC at ICarlease. We were aiming for an April as the wifes Tiguan went back then and despite issues with matching orders to build slots we were able to get the car sorted and delivered just in time. HE never promised anything back in January just that we would try and aim for there. His communication is impeccable and his knowledge and information has been spot on!

Like others have mentioned, don't think it's been his fault, it appears to be Volvo / Dealer issues I think from what I could tell.

Achieving around 26MPG which the wife is a little perturbed about! hopefully it will creep up a little! I do find the auto gear stick a bit frustrating but I'm used to me beema not being so 'manual' it's electronic so that's probably me.

Need to have a proper play with the systems and stuff and apps etc. Not sure how to use Android auto yet - anyone used it at all?

Kids love it and loads of room for them in the back etc!

Wooooo!

Mine averaging 27.8 mpg - not ideal eek However mainly local commute in stop start traffic. Very pleasant to waft around in though and it's got plenty of shove (and a bit of nice turbo whistle) if driven in true PH style wink

Anyone got the app working that Gregg mentions for switching on stuff?

I had a look but it appears thats only if you have Volvo-on call but greg mentioned he had a standard Momentum

All these reviews are interesting - keep them coming.

Currently weighing up whether to cancel due to slippage from 8-10 weeks to around 8 months and being left high and dry with very little communication. At odds with everyone else's experiences of iCarlease and Volvo, it seems.

The mpg could be an issue - if it's hovering around that level I'm fancying my alternative of a used Skoda Superb 280 if I can find one....
Tried to man-maths a used E63 AMG estate onto the drive but the other half won't have it, spoil sport....

Im getting a mix between 26mpg to 29 mpg which is based on mixed country road and M25 which over my last few commutes has been stop start. I also didnt notice much difference between eco mode and comfort mode on the MPG.

If you do decide to cancel please let me know first as if the lender allows a transfer of the lease then I would be willing to take it on ( well a family member of mine).

I’m averaging 27mpg. The wife uses it for work which is 4 miles each way. We ventured to Edinburgh a few weekends ago and only managed 31mpg cruising at 65-70mph. Hopefully it’ll creep up a little. The small tank is frustrating too.

As others have said, the gearbox isn’t the best and the steering is very light but for the price one can’t complain, it’s an awesome deal and great SUV.

I think the app, which is being talked about, is only available with Volvo on call.

I do find this odd, Andrew has been communicative over email and over the phone - occasionally had to chase but nothing bad, just drop him a line, email or phone and catch up and see what he reckons, sounds like it's going to be July though frown

I'd be interested in the App - also do these cars have a 4g card in them? how do you download apps or does your phone have to be connected to it to be able to do that? I'm a little confused....and anyone else using Google/Android Auto know how it works LOL

Need to really sit down with the manual...

Also, our engine light is back on again!!! Back to the dealer to get this sorted it seems! frown

MPG not going above 26mpg but maybe this is the engine light issue...

no difference at all in eco mode we've found! but probably due to the above as well....

Again, people keep their reviews and information coming!
