It's standard on MY19 cars but MY18 cars it was only standard on Inscriptions and any of the Pro variants. Mine is a MY18 R-Design D5 is it doesn't have it as standard.

If you see two boxes (a larger one with a smaller one to the left of it) you have it, if you only have one larger rectangular black box, you don't (as is my understanding?)
Don't think it was standard on MY18 Inscription- ours doesn't have it (a UK car, not Pro).

Have any of you ordered either heated rear seats and/or reversing camera?
I imagine it will just be cost divided by term but from experience of leasing some things have residual and are subsidised

I've just successfully opened a Santander 1/2/3 Lite account for the deal and will FTK on either a T4 or T5 Inscription tomorrow depending on the above

Having said that I consider the camera to be a pure luxury - any comments on rear visibility without?

Cheers

Deffo get the camera! Trust me on that, sensors aren't the quickest and the camera is great

According to this:

All S90's and V90's for MY18 should have Volvo On Call if they are Inscription or any of the Pro variants? It's the UK spec for the whole range for MY18

I think?!

The sensors are disconcerting because there’s nothing to tell you they’re working until an object comes within range; then they make a noise and the screen changes to show the radar.

I’d have a camera in preference if I could have specced one.

When I had my handover the dealer mentioned a 6 week free health check. He seemed keen to ensure I took it in and get it stamped in the book. Has anyone else had this mentioned ?

Is anyone able to walk me through or point me in the right direction to set up a SIM card in the car and the benefits of it? I have just signed up for the free 3 SIM card, however I don’t even know where it goes!
If you have a modem in the car with a SIM card holder, I know where it is in the S90. If you lift the boot floor panel to reveal the spare tyre it's towards the back of the boot space. On the drivers side you will see a rectangle shaped black box with lots of wires coming out of it, if you have the modem (for Volvo on Call) will be a smaller box to the left of that about the size of a pack of cards. The SIM card holder slides out of that.

It must be easier to drop the back seats to access it rather than climb in the boot. You do not have to remove the spare wheel! That's on a S90, anyway
Found mine on a V90 - dropping the seats to get to it looked sensible until I realised the boot floor on its gas strut still blocked access.

It was a pig to get the SIM in, and it doesn’t seem to work so I’ve got to re-insert it. Even if it does work, I’ll have to keep switching to my phone to use the data I already have, rather than running out of the 200MB free from 3. Doesn’t seem an easy way to just make it switch to use your phone’s data when Bluetooth connects.

Ha!

I had a brief glitch with my S90 R design over the weekend.

All was working fine until I stopped briefly at a take-away.

When I returned and re-started the car I noticed that the whilst the main sat nav screen was operating correctly, showing my location in North Yorkshire, the reduced image in the dash binnacle in between the speedo and rev counter showed a location in Gothenburg!

This didn't move until I had stopped again at home and restarted a short while later.

Very strange!

Whats the santander 123 deal?
Interesting because ours is an Inscription factory order delivered in March this year by Stoneacre and doesn't have On Call.

Not seen a V90 specific brochure to see if the generic one above matches.

I've got a D4 V90 Inscription from March this year (don't know if it's a 2018 or 19). I'd echo the comments about the clunky gearbox. I've had 320d, M140 and G31 530d with the ZF auto and the implementation in each was far better than Volvo have managed with their own. Coming back on throttle on B roads is a clunky affair, it's slow witted on junctions. The changes themselves are smooth enough, it's the transition from off to on throttle that seems to be the problem.
I agree. The gearbox (or at least the software controlling it) is crap.
I'm having Polestar software installed next week.

It'll be interesting to see what difference it makes (if any) to the operation of the gearbox.

Had a few cliches in mine too recently where the main screen doesn't load properly and then reboots itself.

Biggest issue is that I cannot connect to the internet no more via Bluetooth on my phone. Neither my Samsung S7 nor my work iPhone 6s work now, although all other facilities work. Annoying since I've just set up a Spotify account. Any ideas on this at all or is it a dealer fix?

Regarding 'On Call' - I just ordered a bog standard V60 through Santander 123.... one of the main selling points is the On Call feature. Will I definitely have this? The salesman said it's only on Pro variants, but I assumed he must be wrong, as it's listed as a standard feature on the configurator..

HI all,

I'm seriously thinking about a contract hire deal on an S90 R Design, no optional extras. I'm trying to find out what the connectivity for audio is like on the standard car and the dealer I spoke to wasn't very knowledgable on the subject!

My current Golf will allow me to play music via the USB port from an iphone, and the quality is better than bluetooth.
I know there is a USB port on the S90, am I right in thinking that without carplay this will only charge an iphone?

Is there any form of line in, or is bluetooth the only option on the standard car?

Is there any way to play MP3's via the USB port from a USB drive?

I know Spotify is available as an app in the UK, are there any other music apps?

Cheers

Gary

I can answer a couple of those. I don't have Carplay in mine.

The USB input under the centre armrest allows you to play from your iPhone with full functionality just using a normal Lightning lead. I think there's another USB socket somewhere which probably just charges, but I haven't looked for that!

I've plugged a USB drive into the same centre armrest USB socket but that was for updating the sat nav maps, so there was no music on the stick. However, I went to the media page in Sensus and the USB icon was lit, so I pressed it and it said no media was on the stick. Which indicates it will find, and presumably play, media from a USB drive.

Bluetooth connects really quickly so I've not really bothered with either though.

The owner's manual doesn't refer to any input other than CD player (optional, mine doesn't have one), USB or Bluetooth so I don't think there's a 3.5mm jack input or any other Aux.
