Had my D5 for nearly a week now. Enjoying it so far and very pleased.
I am finding pilot assist does keep me a bit too close to the left rather than in the centre of the road. Is this how it's set up or can it be 're calibrated?
Same here had mine for over a week and 1500 miles in and pilot assist does hog the left and lane keeping wants to keep nudging me across.I am finding pilot assist does keep me a bit too close to the left rather than in the centre of the road. Is this how it's set up or can it be 're calibrated?
Also the 21 inch wheels does make the ride a bit tough also a bit of vibration over 60. However very comfortable to drive. Was in the car for 4hrs the other day and got out feeling fresh.
It’s no drivers car but that’s not why you opt for an S90 it just wafts along.
As to gearbox issues personally I find it smoother than our A4 with DSG, it does take a second to drop down when booting it bit after then the power makes up for the delay.
Running at around 48-50 mpg as well surprised me for such a big car however in town it does drop a little.
The only thing I need to sort out is what the infotainment actually does, I use Bluetooth, satnav and Radio and that’s about it I think there are apps on there etc. Anyone found a quick guide as to what it does as I don’t fancy reading the several hundred page manual!

Evening all, also managed to secure a decent deal on a D4 Momentum being delivered in December.
Interested to know how easy it is to enable Carplay after I get hold of it?
I've read here that they just "enable" it via a VIDA download. https://accessories.volvocars.com/en-se/S90(17-)/A...
Do you think any Volvo garages would do it if I bung a techy £50 or something?
£300 seems steep to just enable a bit of software.
Would certainly be nice if someone figured out a way of doing it cheaper. No way I'm paying £300 to use Android Auto for 18 months of leasing.Interested to know how easy it is to enable Carplay after I get hold of it?

Also - has anyone got a nice guide for fitting dashcams to these cars?

Agree with the 21 inch wheels and vibrations. Not so bad on smooth roads but have noticed it a bit. The look of the car on 21 makes up for a bit of vibration! Had about 6 compliments so far in a week. Didn't get one in my 335d! Also the 21 inch wheels does make the ride a bit tough also a bit of vibration over 60. However very comfortable to drive. I think the apps are only if you have voc or the internet connection which the ones from jet do not have.... please correct me someone if I'm wrong.
May check In with volvo about the pilot assist. According to my wife I always drive in the middle of the road so maybe that's why it feels like it's putting me to the left!

I wonder if Android Auto is licensed too? Would have thought it would be free being from Google.
I'm not sure. My understanding is that carplay gives android auto and the Apple equivalent together. I'm not sure if they can actually be separated and therefor paid for separately. rb5201 said:

If you swipe right you get another menu and in there is 'Dpwnload Manager' in there are a few apps you can download, including Spotify (mine wasn't set up with this, had to download it), weather (which I quite like, actually!) and a few others. If you are bluetooth connected to your data on your phone you can download them.I think the apps are only if you have voc or the internet connection which the ones from jet do not have.... please correct me someone if I'm wrong.

The maps will also want to update, well mine did. You can also hook up to your home wifi for a big download.
Did try this and couldn't get it to work. May not have been set up to Bluetooth through phone. Will have another go tomorrow. Thanks for the tip.
I've been getting used to the voice control. Using sat nav by saying post code so much easier and quicker than typing it in. And the "Take me home" is also useful.
I particularly like the "I am cold" instruction where it increase the temperature by one degree. Though I tend to just say which temp I want it set to.

Saying "Steering Wheel Heat - On" is my new favourite thing to do in the car! I've been getting used to the voice control. Using sat nav by saying post code so much easier and quicker than typing it in. And the "Take me home" is also useful.

Now the mornings are dark on the way to work I have noticed or rather not noticed the led interior lights. I have set them to green but the only green led I can see is near the interior light controls on the roof panel. Volvo mention the lights in specs so I was expecting a bit more than 1 tiny led. I thought it would be on the door cards and foot well.
So I am thinking they are not working, has anyone changed the colours and where are they?

Changed the colours? You just do that in Sensus.
I too was disappointed at what appears to be just one multi-colour LED based on it being mentioned in the spec. I’ve been in Minis which are almost like a disco when you cycle the colours.

Yeah it just seems to be one LED in the front and one in the rear (according to my under-5 kids). There is lighting in the door bins and footwells but it doesn't seem to be changeable. The strip on my passenger side was actually broken and lying in the bottom of the door bin when I got the car.
I had a Megane as a hire car last year and the ambient lighting was miles ahead of the 90's.

I to am underwhelmed by the interior lighting. The small changeable light in the roof barely makes any difference. Compared to my wife's old mini which was much better.
Also surprise there are no lights from outside door handles for when you unlock car at night, puddle lights I think they are called? The mini used to display the mini badge on the floor which was pretty cool.
All minor things really. Car is still very good.

Collected mine yesterday morning from my local; R-Design D4, Osmium Grey.
Love it so far. Only disappointing thing is the interior lighting, it's certainly not as good as competitors... makes up for it with all the other tech though. Seats are very comfortable, by far the most comfy I've had in any car. Happy days so far...
