The Volvo S90/V90 lease thread

Visited my local garage this morning, they had two new V90 CC on the forecourt.
I can’t believe the size of these cars, they are huge!
One in Denim Blue and the other in Pine Grey, both with blonde leather and running on 20’s. They also had an used Osmium Grey, black leather on the starndard 18’s.
Ruled out Pine Grey on the configurator, big mistake, looks classy!
Any idea of the monthlies on those 20’s? Must be £100+ right?
I think the 20s are something like £87/month.I can’t believe the size of these cars, they are huge!

Popped into my supplying dealer today (they've been extremely helpful given the fact that I didn't actually order from them). I'm still agonising over the colour... I specified Osmium Grey, but having seen it in the flesh I'm not so sure as it looks quite ordinary. There didn't seem to be anything in Savile Grey, which was my second choice, but their demo is Denim Blue which is lovely. That said, I think the CC looks very classy in silver... a great contrast to the charcoal plastic trim (my wife thinks it's a bit showy and would choose the Denim Blue).
I also spent a while listening to and playing around with the standard sound system (in a CC). I was a bit underwhelmed at first, but then changed the settings to those recommended on this thread (thanks soupdragon1 ) which was a noticeable improvement... definitely worth trying if you're trying to decide which system to go for. Then I moved to the sales manager's car which has the Harman Kardon system and even without any messing around with the settings, it seemed so much better. I'm going to further ruin my bargainous deal to the tune of £42/month by adding it to the spec.
On Friday I listened (at another dealer) to the B&W system... that was absolutely stunning. No way on god's earth is it worth £3000 on an 18 month lease, but if I was buying second hand I don't think I'd entertain a car that didn't have it. Certainly the best system I've heard in a car (not that I've experienced that many).

Is there a link to the v90 cc deal ?
It's not listed on the website, but just call them and they'll do a quote on any Volvo or Mazda spec you want. Metallic (non premium metallic) is FoC. The deal seems to be on the V90 CC T5. No idea what other trim or engines will be priced like.https://www.santanderconsumer.co.uk/123contracthir...

Yeah, regardless how nice the 20” wheels are, £87 is a non starter. At a push I’d consider the 19”, although it goes against the VFM grain Popped into my supplying dealer today (they've been extremely helpful given the fact that I didn't actually order from them). Colour choice is giving me a headache! Impossible to tell looking at photos.

They had a Saville Grey car with the optional 19s in the showroom - it looked great.
The configurator looks like this pic, but it looked better in the flesh:
It also had black leather with the black walnut trim & looked a bit gloomy inside. I'd go for the metal inlays.
Couldn't find a car with the Amber trim but several XC60/90s with blonde which looked great.
My kids are old enough not to drool all over the back seats but I do often carry muddy bikes with the seats folded down. Anyone know if the bootspace (carpets etc) come in black if you spec the blonde interior?

First car I’ve had with heated steering wheel and have to say I think I’ve had it on every morning for last few months. Will definitely be looking to spec on future cars. The heated screen clears the ice in seconds not minutes and again really useful.
Yeah. My V90 is boggo spec but I had a V90CC as a courtesy car which had the winter pack. Heated wheel was fantastic and there's plenty of frosty mornings where I'd benefit from heated screen. I'd definitely want it if money wasn't an issue or buying one new or used.DrewPeacock said:
I’m also local to WGC Volvo and have found their service second to none.

One thing to note for people thinking about options such as the Winter Pack is that they now include Volvo On-Call which enables you to start the vehicle remotely for up to 15 minutes at a time (and have it locked) so you can get it nice and toasty in the winter. Therefore means you can forego the Winter Pack which is what I'll be doing.
Anyone have any experience of this?Ordered the Winter Pack on the S90 and was going to order it on the V90.
I always use the heated seats, but i leave home about 9am for work so that's the earliest i'd ever leave the house.
Only once or twice have i needed a heated screen. which i dont have on my current Golf. Leading me to think i should not order the winter pack.
Heated wheel would be nice, but i can wear gloves.
Problem is i downloaded the on call app in demo mode, there doesnt seem to be any settings regarding heating/cooling. I thought it would bring up all the options, such as turn on AC, a slider for temp and power of blowers, plus all options such as heated wheel and seats.
On some forums it seems they auto turn on under certain temp such as 10 or 7 degrees.
For the climate, it seems you have to guess the night before what you want, so turn on a/c full blowers, then turn the engine off. Remote start would then resume whatever your last setting was.
Is that right with anyone with a Volvo currently?

About to send final spec for Santander lease V90 CC. What options have people went for? I decided on Osmium grey with colour coded arches, rear parking camera and 19" wheels. Cant decide if the c coded arches is worth the extra 23 quid per month, rear camera and wheels are a must.
I went for Magic Blue. Didn’t add any options as not required for an 18 month contract. Already have a v90 Pro and manage fine without the rear camera. Everyone has their own preference on options but you are basically paying for someone to get them free when it comes to hand back. Shame they don’t do options pro rata the lease.

You don’t pay the full price on the options on these there is a reduction of around 25% , at least there was on the 19’s and rear tints I specced. The 25% discount is correct. The 19’s look much better on the car as do have them on the other one with the pro trim. Is is really worth the extra £860 extra for only 18 months ownership and then for someone to get the extra for free of charge when they come to buy your car? Like I said, each to their own on options.
For me, yes! But I understand that many will not see the point of spending the extra £’s. As you say, each to their own.sheep86 said:

That's pretty much exactly what i'm thinking spec wise if I go for one. My last 2 cars (RS4 Avant, E Class estate) have been grey and I really wanted to have something a bit different this time but not sure about other options. I think some colours seem to work better with the black arches. I'm a little bit tempted by brown (if you had told me when I had the RS4 a few years ago I would be looking at a brown Volvo I would of burst out laughing - amazing what having two kids does!).
I'm still undecided but may end up defaulting to safety grey (again) but maybe jazzing up interior with Amber spec?!
What are thoughts on brown, anyone ever seen one in the flesh? Can't decide if its special and ace or gross!
