The Volvo S90/V90 lease thread
Discussion
Just completed a drive from York back down south on the A1 for 170m in my T5 CC which now has a total mileage of 1,100. I averaged 35.8mpg in light traffic using pilot assist set to 80mph with the exception of a few roundabouts and short sections with average speed cameras. Over the weekend I did a trip from Scarborough to York on B roads and averaged 42mpg. I find most shorter journeys with a mix of driving to be around 28mpg and around town to be 22mpg.

That's good to hear... seems perfectly reasonable consumption for such a lump of a car. Better than some of the horror stories I've read. Should be picking mine up towards the end of next month and it seems broadly similar to the S5 it replaces, which is nice to know Mikebentley said:
Cant seem to use Bluetooth from iPhone to car to use Spotify? Able to play with a usb from phone through Sensus but not via Bluetooth. Do I need to put a SIM in the car?
No, you don’t need a SIM, mines playing Spotify via my phone. If I can manage this, anyone can cos I’m a total techno-muppet!My car connects automatically to my phone hotspot (dealer set this up for me but it was pretty straightforward) and then I use the Spotify app which I downloaded onto the car.

Has anyone had their software updated on MY19 Models? I heard that it addresses the clunky auto box and fixes various niggles. Mine is going for service/software update today so will report back.
I had mine done last week. The difference it made to the rubbish gearbox software is negligible. However, I’ve not had that much chance to use the car as it’s been back with the garage for several days while they try to determine what the cause of the weird (loud) noise from the rear suspension is.
Now escalated to Volvo as they cannot trace it.

What's the Spotify app like? I use Spotify via android auto which is OK but not great... how would you rate the Volvo/Spotify version? My car connects automatically to my phone hotspot (dealer set this up for me but it was pretty straightforward) and then I use the Spotify app which I downloaded onto the car.
Picked my V90 CC up yesterday. First impressions are very good loads of tech that I've never needed but probably cant be without by time it goes back. A step up across the board compared to my Jaguar XF.
Loads of room will fit the bill perfectly for the next 18 months. Will post some pics later.

I’ve had a service message pop up on my d4 S90 after only 10 months and 5k miles, looks like that could seriously make it difficult avoiding 2nd service!
When I picked up my V90 last Monday it was showing 235 days until service. The salesman tried to tell me that this was normal "because they would do a check after 3 months".It was in fact because the pre-delivery inspection had been done by the receiving dealership back in December.
I got them to take it back into the workshop for a manual reset of the service indicator. Left with it showing 360 days....
Has anyone with a VFS lease contract taken their car through a toll bridge or congestion charge area?
Did you pay the toll/charge yourself?
I am asking because the wording on my contract states:
"Bus lane fines, congestion charges and toll road/bridges must be paid by Volvo Financial Services as a legal requirement. These costs will then be passed on to you"
I would assume that this applies to receipt of a fine rather than a charge, but the wording is poor IMO....

I’ve placed a factory order for an S90 T4 Momentum Plus on PCH this week.
The dealer has said they expect the car to arrive in September, but a couple of people have said that’s unrealistic and looking around very long lead times seem common with the S90. They seem to turn up when they turn up and some people report long delays where others state the cars arrived early.
I don’t need the car until October when my current car goes back, and it’s not a major drama if it’s late provided I get a few weeks notice and an accurate delivery date. What won’t work for me is the car not arriving by October then the dealer saying it’ll be here in a next week every week until some time in 2020!
Can anyone who’s ordered recently tell me what their lead time is, or shed any light on when the dealer will get a solid build/delivery date?
