Neil has replied and delivery is still due the 27th March and he has sent all of the paper work to me.
Exactly the same date I was given by Andy at Stoneacre last Friday. He hasn't been responding to emails but he did phone me back right away after he missed my call. He originally told me 20th March but it has slipped a week. I've sent off my cherished plate paperwork that he asked for so he can register it on the car so all seems OK so far...Pigglesberg said:

Can I ask when you ordered? I placed an order early Feb and so far haven't been too concerned about the delivery date but with the time drawing near I should start preparing. As a first time leasee I hadn't considered having my cherised plate applied to the car but following your post I think I'll look in to having it done. Would be nice to see my plate roll up on my new car

I ordered January 22nd so coming up to 6 weeks ago. With regards to your plate, I have always had them on various lease cars but some will charge you a fee for when you want to remove it. Putting it on the car is no problem but an admin fee will apply when you want to remove it. I was told by Andy it is roughly £40 so not the end of the world! I really don't want a diesel though, and the T6 and T8 are ~£700/month - a huge jump from the D4 pricing of circa £300 month (which I'd hope would be roughly what the T4 would come in at, if I could find an offer for it.
I had a quote for the T4 from Neil at Clive Brook Bradford for 1+23 at £288 a month, 8k mpa. That was on 12th February though so not sure if that deal can still be done. Dexter78 said:

I don't think a 2 litre petrol turbo is appropriate for such a big car personally. I haven't driven the T4 Volvo but I drove an F10 528i and it just felt all wrong.
A friend has a 320i touring and that seems like a nice car.. Be good to either drive a T4 or hear from other who have. Well now I am getting really annoyed and disappointed!
I ordered my S90 R Design in October last year and was promised delivery in March. My current lease car goes back next week!
In January, received a call from the dealer to say that delivery of my order was now put back to June 2018 but not to worry as they had located a car of an identical specification, in fact slightly better, and this was in the country later in January, so my delivery date was assured.
In early February, I contacted the dealer for an up-date and was told that the car was being transported, within the next week, to the dealership and delivery dates were discussed.
We agreed 3rd March.
On Thursday, 22 February I was told that the car was now to be delivered to the Dealer on the Friday, 23 February and so collection on the 3rd March was still on.
On Saturday 24th February I received a call from the Sales Manager, not my usual salesman, advising that this was not now the case and delivery would be sometime in April....
I was not a happy bunny as this left me with no car, and as I am off to Australia at Easter for 3 weeks, this was additionally inconvenient. I voiced my thoughts quite firmly and politely!
Good enough, they are apparently going to offer me a loan car but that is hardly the point. This is now about 6 months from date of order.
This dealership has gained awards for being the best dealer in the region and prides itself upon customer service. Volvo are winning all sorts of awards for their products.
However they seem totally incapable of delivering a product to a customer on time but even worse, they have been misleading me totally.
I have my doubts that my car will ever appear and am certainly not certain that I shall see it in April or May!
This is a production car, built by robots. It is not a hand-built specialist vehicle.
I realise that they are transported from China but that is surely not an insurmountable problem for Volvo. Geely are going to do so much damage to their reputation if they don't get a grip of this issue.
I for one am now looking at other alternatives as a matter of urgency....
Appalled and angry.

My beard expands with Volvo knowledge.
Seems like the first S90s were built in Gothenburg, but production has now indeed moved to China.
The V90 is still Swedish made.
Quite cool that they travel by train all the way from China to Zeebrugge, but it does nothing for the waiting times!

"If we'd known then what we know now, we'd never have made that decision".
Anyway, the delays are not all down to the rail journey.
A shambles.
