If you swipe left (I think), that brings up all the icons for the various functions, including car status messages (for example, servicing or washer fluid). If you select another function, then hit home and it should appear in the bottom box. If you swipe the other way, that's where all the icons are for the apps as well as things like fuel economy etc. Again, select the one you want then hit the home button and the function should appear at the bottom.

The top 3 tiles are fixed and I don't think you can change them (other than making them bigger). Phone was the third one I couldn't think of!

I have a v90 with the early Santander deals.

Recently picked up a slow puncture on one of the tyres. It looks like it can be repaired and sealed professionally.

The car goes back in September so if I get it repaired and it lasts until the car is returned, is it ok to hand it back or would they charge for not replacing the tyre?

Not sure if they would even notice a puncture repair

Bank holiday in mainland Europe yesterday so I took a drive to the Nurburgring since its my last week with the car in Belgium.

133mph on the clock is 131mph on the GPS on the Autobahn. Quite a few empty stretches but it really struggles over 120mph, and the economy drops to about 22mpg over 100mph.

A single slow lap around the 'ring, my second time driving it and third time round in total. As expected the car struggles with bodyroll and the limits of the car are found quite easily without much effort.

Thanks alot that sorted it.

Another question, has anyone been able to use the in car internet using Bluetooth, or does it only work via hotspot.

Also They told me the car has a winter pack, I was under the impression this comes with a heated steering wheel but I cant seem to find it in the menu. How can I tell if I have the winter pack?

Confirmed with dealer yesterday that my V90 is ready and waiting... although I'm neither ready and waiting and I've still got 5 weeks left of my current car mad
My local dealer (Mill Volvo, Stockton-on-Tees) rang me today to say that my V90 CC was now with them. I don't need it until late July (I told Santander this when I ordered it back in Feb, and they said that was fine) as my current lease doesn't expire until then. The dealer is obviously keen for me to pick it up sooner rather than later, and I'm equally keen to get my hands on it, but the early repayment fee on my current lease is 55% of anything outstanding. I'm planning on sending it back a month early (end of June) so I can arrange to pick up the V90 at the same time, and just take the hit on 55% of the last month's payment.

I’m in the same boat, paid my Audi termination fee yesterday and hopefully can get the car collected by BCA in the last week of June. Then I will pick the volvo up 16th July after my holidays.

Audi told me BCA will be in touch next week to arrange a date. I need it to be between 18th and 30th of June for everything to tie in nicely, hopefully after the 21st.

I found the BCA booking service very easy... it's done online and there were plenty of dates available so you should find it easy to get something that suits.

It's been a very straightforward process. In fact they've literally just left with my S5... £36 for a scuffed alloy which seems fair. The inspector was delightful too smile

I finally got mine working. Connect to phone via Bluetooth, then go into "communications" in the settings, and select connect to internet via Bluetooth (I am not in my car but it says something like that) and then tick the box. Then in your phone (if it is Android), go into settings > Connections > Mobile Hotpot and Tethering - the should be the option to turn on "Bluetooth tethering", so switch it on! You can also turn on "USB tethering" if your phone in plugged into the USB port inside the centre armrest (it is greyed out if it is not plugged in)..

Funnily enough Santander have been in touch with me today saying my V90CC is ready and when would I like to collect....?
Still need to get rid of my Ateca. Got an early termination quote so will get that sorted over the weekend.

How long am I looking at to get BCA to come collect?

Press the driver's heated seats icon, the icon for the heated wheel should appear above.

I’ve been done!

Picked my S90 up on Monday and got 5 days - was told by the main dealer a month or so ago 5 days was the new standard for the Volvo driveaway insurance.

Hi Im looking at the T4 v90 on the Santander deal, can anyone give their thoughts on the T4 engine ? Torn between this and paying the extra for a T5, Im coming out of a Mazda 6 Tourer 2.2d with around 180bhp.

I came from a 335d to a V90 T4 and as long as you drive it like the barge it is then its fine

Fuel consumption is pretty awful though for a modern petrol with all of the tech theyre loaded with these days and the small tank doesnt help. On the motorway I see approx 35mpg at an honest 70mph which is just rubbish, however the car is sweet and the deal was cheap so Im not unhappy.

The tank infuriates me though, the car is otherwise a superb mile muncher and Id have another as long as they stay cheap

When I looked the T5 and diesels were significantly more expensive, hugely so

Cheers

Ok great its good to hear what its "really" like, god knows how the manufacturers manage to get these claimed mpg figures, prob down hill with a strong wind smile

Id agree on the price of the T5 and diesels, a lot more expensive, currently looking at sub £300 a month for v90 R-Design T4 MY19 on 8000 a yr, which seems about right for the other santander quotes posted on here
