Picked up my v90 this morning, nice! However I am sure the car was saying I did 5mpg on my 13 mile journey back from the dealers! Can’t be right surely?

Couple of questions.

How the hell do I get the Spotify on my phone to sync up/play through the Spotify app on the car? I have loads of songs on my phone downloaded which should save data.

Is it normal for there to be a gap of a couple of inches between the back seat and the parcel shelf? I think an optional net might fit there but the gap seems massive and a bit unsightly.

You don't sync Spotify on your phone with the built in Spotify app. You can either play Spotify from your phone over Bluetooth, or you can sign into the in-car app using your account. Personally, I just use the phone app.

Thanks. I knew I could do that but it’s not the ideal solution.

Nice, which colour?

As per the parcel shelf, there's a small flap which flips forward to cover the gap. It's certainly not the most elegant solution.

It’s saville grey.

Anyway the parcel shelf is no more. It’s been removed to fir dog guard. My travall guard from my previous A4 avant actually fits pretty well with the assistance of some cable ties to hold it in place. Funnily enough using the anchor points that the Volvo boot net would use. The ones in the massive gap.

I might have been forced to drive sensibly by the traffic, but I’m still impressed with the 36mpg I got out of my T6 today. Saw 520 miles range to empty after filling up. Considering my average was 23mpg for the first 8000 miles, now it’s on 9000 I’d say it’s finally loosened up.

I have the very same car. You mentioned the parcel shelf having a gap by the back seat, I found the flap to cover this but I’ve noticed it’s also short by the rear hatch. If you look down you can see into the boot again a 2-3” gap, is this normal?

Yes. This is normal.

Looking good. Almost makes me wish I had stuck with Saville instead of switching to osmium at the last minute.

Strange, I did the exact opposite. Decided on Osmium and changed my mind and went with Saville but now wish I’d stuck with Osmium! Biggest mistake I made though was not having bigger wheels, those 18” look too small. Going to get tints added, anybody returned one yet that had aftermarket tints, wondered if the lease company insists they’re removed first.

This question was asked on the main lease discussion thread a few days ago. There were a couple of responses saying the lease companies didn’t notice or if they did there was no charge.

Hi guys

I’ve got a question about tyres.

S90 D5 I’ve got the 21 inch wheels, and with 20k miles a year on a 3 year lease am going to need a couple of sets.

I have read though my paperwork and it isn’t clear on brands, what people’s experience.

Can I get away with a cheaper brand for my next set then put the recommended ones on when they wear out and before the car goes back?

Being AWD they seem to be wearing at a similar rate, although the back tyres I could get a few extra 1000 out of.

Thanks

So far I'm enjoying our V90 T5 CC. However, like a few other comments on here I've noticed the car isn't keen on pulling away sharply from a standing start, which can be a bit dicey at junctions. It's like the car barely recognises the first couple of cm's when you push the accelerator down. If I accelerate hard it will respond but I'm guessing this won't be doing my fuel economy any favours. An earlier post mentioned using the manual gears when pulling out of junctions so I'll give that a try. Anyone figured out a better solution?

From that article...

"This comes at a difficult time for the Chinese-owned car manufacturer which, despite rising sales figures, reported a slump in profits on Thursday."

Hmmmmm I wonder why.... scratchchin

Oh yes. Because they are punting them out on cheap lease deals!

Yup- multiple sources now saying the recall is imminent. Not in the slightest bit worried and Volvo have done the right thing in publicising it and arranging the fix.

I suppose we now just wait for the letter!

Edit - Sky news says it does affect the V90? All of the 4 cylinder diesels...

Well about 200 miles in and really like the v90

The fuel economy is a little bit scary though, the central screen says 29 mpg, the on call app says 20mpg and the instrument cluster says 15 mpg. They are all fairly woeful but which is right?
