Get the dealer to set up Volvo On Call for youn before you leave. Helps if you have the app downloaded to your phone and you've got a Volvo ID registered.
Thanks for the heads up, all sorted and tried to do it as have VIN but you need to be in the car!!!

Surprised you say that. I haven't tried it on the latest generation, but it is brilliant on my previous generation XC60.

It's ok at best. Plenty of instances where I know I've blinded drivers because of it.

During an hour of driving it completely missed two approaching cars on an otherwise empty road and took what seemed like an age to spot quite a few.

That was how the system on the Merc I had before the Volvo reacted, took ages to turn back on as well and turned off for no reason sometimes. I avoided using the Volvo system for a while because of this, but was delighted when I tried it and it selectively (and effectively) masked oncoming traffic.

Maybe I’ll raise it with a dealer then, it was far from impressive and led to me unintentionally blinding a couple of people.

My S90 was ordered in May, dealer confirmed 3 times September delivery.... why's yours taking so long unless the dealer is talking out his backside and i'm going to get a surprise in the coming weeks...

Same as what a lot of us went through with orders previous to this, sadly.

I ordered in October and was repeatedly told in December, January and February that it was to hit the original March date I was given.

A few weeks before supposed collection it got pushed back until the end of May. I have no doubt the same will apply to the MY20 - people ordering in February and March were being quoted August but the dealer was telling me when I finally collected my My19 that December was more realistic!

I currently have a 2017 S90 D4 Momentum. I've been prevaricating between saving money by getting something like an Octavia 1.0 SE Tech DSG, or by treating myself by getting an E200 SE (head/heart). Issue is that I drive 15k miles a year at least which can make leasing quite expensive. Currently pay £370 a month on a 1+23.

However, I've surprised myself by FTK-ing on another S90 - now a T4 Momentum Plus - reason being that I've got it for £287 a month on a 1+47 (still 15k p/a). Normally wouldn't go for a 4 yr lease, but even an Octavia SE Tech DSG would have cost £250 a month on the same terms...

Gone for Mussel Blue/Charcoal. Would have much preferred to stick with Blond, but need the car in October so relying on pipeline stock.

Does anyone have a full summary of the differences between a MY17/18 and MY20 S90? I think I know what the difference are through reviewing the MY20 priceless, but not 100% sure.

What do you mean by masked? Are you meaning adaptive headlights?

No masking or adaptive on mine (standard 2019 V90 CC spec) just assists with the high beams. I tried it again, it’s very inconsistent, it spots some oncoming traffic instantly, others after a slight delay and once again it missed and enraged a couple of cars completely.

I haven’t found a way to override it without disabling it - that would be a useful addition.

Anyone had an issues with their Santander direct debit?

Mine was due to come out on the 31st of the month (as per what I ticked on agreement) but nothing happened so far. I've shifted the money to a savings account to be on the safe side.

It's weird because at the same time, they were supposed to be sending me another invoice (challenged the first one) for some damage on my previous car with them but that hasn't happened either.

My first DD didn't come out either. I rang up two weeks later and was told they were in the process of doing me for non payment! They checked and said the DD had been rejected because I had supplied incorrect details. After checking my scanned copies, turns out they had manually entered it wrong into the system. Suddenly it turned completely from me getting fined/black marks for not paying, into them doing absolutely nothing in return but fixing it..

Anyone already with a MY20 car followed up this with a dealer yet. My car came from 150 miles away so will have to get a local one to do the rerofit

"Volvo Car UK is boosting its in-car connectivity offering by fitting a data SIM card as standard to all its new models. The feature is being introduced on all Model Year 2020 cars from today, and can be retro-fitted with ease to any that have already been delivered to customers.
The SIM card allows the driver and their passengers to be fully connected at all times, with access to 100GB of data for up to one year, making this the longest and most generous plan of its type currently offered by Vodafone for car makers in the UK. What’s more, this facility is available for the first 12 months for no extra cost on top of the car’s initial purchase price."
"For customers who have already taken delivery of a Model Year 2020 Volvo, the SIM card can be installed at the next workshop visit upon request, or they can contact their retailer to organise a convenient time for the necessary work to be done."

Thinking about it - it should be as simple as inserting the SIM in the boot so perhaps they could just post me one?

They didn't take a payment for me on what was supposed to be my first date (I chose 31st as well). I could see what was going to happen, so put the money aside. As expected, on 31st July they took 2 payments in one. I rang them to confirm my suspicions and they blamed it on not knowing I had received the car until the 1st June, meaning I missed the payment run of June at their end.

No mention of being chased for non-payment though.

Sorry poor terminology, I referring to the beam pattern clipping only in the necessary areas to avoid glare.
