Sorry poor terminology, I referring to the beam pattern clipping only in the necessary areas to avoid glare.
Is this a standard MY20 feature? Had it on my M5 and it was brilliant!

It's called "Active Bending Headlights with Adaptive Shadow Technology" and is standard on all trims except Momentum Plus for MY20.

I don't have an MY19 pricelist to hand but suspect it was included only in the Pro versions of each trim.

Is this similar to the Audi Matrix LED lights?

The Polestar 2 will launch next year with Active Pixel headlamps that identify and block out the beam for up to five vehicles. I wonder if these are the same thing.

I’ve been asked to sign finance docs, as my car is arriving at the dealer “in the next couple of days”

Think I’ll wait for confirmation it’s landed.

I think if they're asking you to sign finance docs, car has probably arrived and is registered.

Not necessarily I signed my docs about 2 months before my car was registered

Ah really! Weird how different it is for people.

I couldn't sign mine until car had been delivered and registered. Well, that's how it sounded from Santander anyway.

Same as what a lot of us went through with orders previous to this, sadly.

I ordered in October and was repeatedly told in December, January and February that it was to hit the original March date I was given.

A few weeks before supposed collection it got pushed back until the end of May. I have no doubt the same will apply to the MY20 - people ordering in February and March were being quoted August but the dealer was telling me when I finally collected my My19 that December was more realistic!
Blimey! So my Santander 18 month deal will be 12 months in by the middle of November so with six months to go after that then I should think about ordering another one then, in Nov?? Assuming I can get a decent price from somewhere...

GOt my V90 D4 in for a service tomorrow, cost is £240. Is that a decent price? I’ve tried scrolling back 30/40 pages but can’t see much on service costs, other than the service package. I have a 24 month lease and have held off on the service for 3 weeks. Also, I have done 11k, this won’t be an issue will it, isn’t it 12 months or 10k?

That's generally the going rate but if there's a Kwik-Fit or Halfords nearby and they're using original Volvo parts, Volvo will price match.

Think it's 18K miles or 12 Month, which ever arrives first.

You've done well. My garage quoted £310 and got them to price match one 100 miles away at £275 and thought I'd got a "deal"!

My local garage (Wakefield) said £270, so I said I wanted to check with the garage where the car came from (Bradford), she straight away said £250. I spoke to Bradford and they said they would beat it and do it for £240, so Wakefield matched it. Hate paying for it though, you are literally paying for a stamp!

Mine was eventually delivered several months late. I managed to negotiate a free service, rear camera, Polestar software and a courtesy car until it turned up.

Blimey!
Several months late based on what? Did you negotiate this with the broker or supplying dealer?

It was based on the ever changing dates (and total lack of communication) from the dealer/Volvo.

I didn’t use a broker but dealt directly with the dealer.

The dealer funded the service and courtesy car (new V90 Inscription Pro) and they split the cost of the camera and Polestar with Volvo UK.

It did take a lot of time and effort but they messed me about for months so I kept at it. For example, at one stage they were so confident it was about to arrive that they told me to go ahead and sell the car it was replacing. A day before collection, I received an email to say that it had been “delayed” (ie still in China). The whole experience was a shambles from start to finish.

Most of the issues were due to Volvo, with the dealer compounding the problem with ineptitude and a healthy smattering of “untruths”.

Sounds like a right shambles!
To be fair to my broker their communication has been very good and they haven’t actually committed to a delivery date so I can’t really complain despite it taking 10 months!
