Rang my insurance company today as car delivered in two weeks. Coming from an S4 I was expecting a bit less than the £450 I’m paying now. Delivery date is renewal day- deliberately to avoid charges. Surprised to hear her say “an additional £275 yikes

I reminded her that this was a renewal and not a change and it was just £275 for the year.

A quick question. Is Emergency Brake assist found on the momentum plus actual braking for you, or does it just brake harder if it thinks you’re being a bit pussy footed?
City Safety™

City Safety can alert the driver using a visual, acoustic and brake pulse warning to help him/her detect pedestrians, cyclists, larger animals and vehicles that suddenly appear - the car then attempts to brake automatically unless the driver acts within a reasonable time him/herself.

One thing that I have noticed is the standard key fob has lovely buttons and a really crap plastic exterior. Too tight to pay for the fancy add on.

My Inscrption keys are wrapped in the same nappa as its lovely fully electric seats

I doubt I’ll ever run another car like this at the price I’m paying.....

Ours are the same. Sadly the chrome effect plastic around the edges scuff up horribly in your pocket.

Just be pleased you’ve got the nice buttons. The key to my Dad’s XC60 Momentum looks like it fell out of a Christmas cracker.

For those who have the v90 financed by Santander, does anyone know which company will be used to carry out the final inspection?

Thanks. Quote amended as According to Volvo i only have Emergency Brake Assist,( EBA) and not Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)

As a result my quote went up by SFA, which is nice.

If you're looking for an alternate view then imagine how much you'd be paying in extra premiums if you went through insurance

Mine went back today, £165 each for 2 x tyres that have slights scuffs to the sidewall, not cuts or defects, thats on a V90 R Design.

Also trying to charge for a pin dent with no paint damage and within guidelines.

VWFS used to give you a pack that gave you examples of their charges so you could choose to rectify or otherwise, had nothing like that with Volvo, so i am contesting on a couple of fronts. If they insisted on the tyres being changed, i would have done so at roughly half the cost, and the pin dent is similar.

Not pleased at all with this. I didn't sign the collection sheet and have contested it so will wait and see.

It was more of a guide line if anyone is deciding to repair before or not.
Someone on here said £135 a panel, it's £170.

I remember the delivery driver who dropped mine off strongly recommended getting any kerbed wheels etc. fixed rather than sending it back like that.

Thanks for the update on costs when returning the car back chaps.
I assume the R design v90 alloys are diamond cut? If so I should be able to get mine refurbed at approx £70ish each wheel at a place local to me.
2 of them certainly need doing maybe even 3.

Did any of you gents have any curbed or damaged alloys when returning?

Not many deals around at the moment eh. This is up 100 a month over what we all paid last spring.

This is the cheapest R Design on leasing.com. Don't think it's even metallic.

Been reading this thread as decided to get one of these

The deals are pretty good at the moment but it’s all about the petrol momentum plus.

When they added the ‘plus’ they really enhanced the spec on momentum.

£280 a month on a 1+23 is possible on stock orders and 310 for factory metallic.

Is it just BCA that do the return inspection? IME its always worked out more economical to pay the charges rather than sort the repairs yourself. Also had a mate who disputed the charges and it draggged on past the point the veichle was sold on and were written off.

Went through this the other day.
Memory driver’s seat, adaptive cruise were the two things that stood out. Oh and a centre tunnel storage net smile

It seems the v90 momentum plus is the only 'deal' that jumps out. However I'm unsure if I really want to have another v90 as mine is coming to an end in October.
I'd go for it if it was the D4 engine but the T4 petrol engine isn't appealing to me....but there aren't any other deals. The e class, 5 series and a6 estates are all much more.

Maybe a change of scenery would help. Spec it in something unusual, like Mussel Blue, with Amber or Blond interior.
