Anyone have issues with auto wipers. Mine are set to minimum sensitivity and they go when no water on the window, does it a lot. When it rains I put it to max sensitivity as I cannot see out, need to switch wipers from auto. Had auto wipers on Vw, merc, bmw, Audi all worked perfectly. This v90 auto wipers are rotten
I posted this recently, they're crap.

I somehow only realised recently that the sensitivity switch for them also increases/decreases the wiper frequency when you have them on intermittently, works far better.

Any experience of early voluntary termination on the V90 Santander deals?
We have V90 D4 Momentum with 12k per year over 36months. Had it 12months and put down £3k (I know). Wife is after something different so was thinking of 18 months in taking the hit to keep her happy.
Any experience?

VT is one of the things which gives more flexibility to PCP versus leasing

Don't have my Santander contract to hand however my previous lease wanted all outstanding payments in full to settle early although they would refund the VAT

Question to anyone who has had to carry out repairs while in a lease contract.

Do I have to have any repairs performed by Volvo, or can I take it to an independent? Had a look at my contract by can't find anything definitive.

Reversed into a metal post earlier which is going to involve a replacement rear bumper, new light cover and repairing a small dent in the bodywork. Fuming is an understatement.

I bet those great sensors beeped just after the impact. They are shockingly bad.

They didn't even beep after the impact.

I fear Volvo are going to take me to the cleaners price-wise as the light also needs replacing as it no longer works. Hoping I can take it to an independent to get fixed.

Do I need to get a list of approved garages from Santander, or can I just go ahead and get the repairs done, and then they will charge me if they deem them to not be up to standard?

Appreciate any advice.

Hopefully I never have to use it but Volvo gave me a £250 excess voucher when I picked up my car from them via Santander. So if I contact Volvo first after an accident they will basically pay my excess and deal with my insurance company.

Did you get a voucher? If you are going through insurance it might be worth using the voucher?

I’m pretty sure you can get it repaired anywhere. Just needs to pass pickup inspection

Hi all,

Long time lurker, first time poster!

I signed a lease on a factory order V90 T4 a couple of weeks ago. Before I signed the deal the broker told me delivery would be ~Nov '19, so that would be 9-13 weeks from order to delivery. The broker updated me this week to say delivery won't be until 2020.

Does anybody on here have any recent experience with a factory order V90 T4, how long the current build time is?

Cheers,
Dan.

If you can find out the supplying dealer they will have pretty accurate tracking info Inc build date and probable arrival time

Mine came via Santander who I knew used the local dealer so I dropped in and they could not have been more helpful, even got free coffee and biccies while they booted up their laptop

My S90 has been delayed by another 3 months, dealer talked out of his backside when i asked him every couple of weeks if the vehicle was still November, I just wouldn't trust them when they tell you dates.

Mine was clean on the outside but grubby and scuffed with foot marks inside. Rubbish dealer experience.

After an S4 I hope you have set your expectations low for the Volvo. I have done a few thousand miles in mine now and whilst it has all the right ingredients (except being 2 cylinders short of what it needs) everything is a bit 7/10 and could work just a bit better. I don't dislike it I just feel it lacks development.
My mediocrity sensors have been recalibrated in the couple of hundred miles I did so far. It's a tool for a job, and we have another vehicle that can do fast when required/desired.

Stuff I don't like so far.
Touch screen. Sorry, a scroll wheel is easier when you're on the move.
Sounds a bit dieselly to my ears sometimes when pootling around town. ( it's a T4)
Defaults to comfort mode on power off, despite individualising key.
Slower. Much slower.
Bouncier than zebedee jumping on to a trampoline riding a spacehopper when going down country roads.

Stuff I like that the S4 didn't have ( also a lease so I was tight on the options)

I no longer have to fold my own mirrors in ( 2 years of shame)
Boot opens and closes automatically rather than just opens.
Lovely comfortable memory driver's seat
Cornery headlights
Adaptive cruise
Looks like a police car so stuff gets out of the way on a motorway, Especially with a well chosen black polo shirt on.
Reversing camera.
all the laydeez lurve it.

You might spot one fib in there.

Unfortunately I didn’t get one of those, as that would be a god send right about now! My insurance excess is £880 - probably still a lot cheaper than it will end up costing me to get it all fixed, mind. I’m just conscious about how much it’ll put my premium up by.

Just returned my V90 R Design and had inspection by Manheim on Friday. The car was pretty much immaculate apart from an incident where I managed to scrape - and I mean SCRAPE - 2 of the alloys (leaving a multistorey, high kerbs on both sides, tight hairpin, long car...) and another incident when I managed to SCRAPE a third alloy (bloody granite kerbs in Aberdeen...). Probably the first time I've dinged alloys in 8 years. All seemed pretty deep to my eyes and around 50% the way round each wheel.

I was worried that they'd be charging me refurb on all 3 wheels and wondering what the cost would be. A local place charges around £150- £175 per wheel as a friend had his done recently, and new wheels could be got for £250 from ebay.

In the end they charged me £90 each for 2 of the wheels and nothing for the 3rd - delighted with that! Having had a similar experience with a car park ding to a rear wing on a previous Audi inspection (£36 charge), I will never pay for lease car damage to be repaired prior to returning in future (not that I have in the past).

Further to the above, I now have a full set of Car Shades going for a V90 if anyone's interested? Mine was the last of the 2018 MY but I don't think they've changed any since then. Not sure if they'll fit the CC.

£30 delivered / £25 collection Aberdeen

PM if interested.

Doesn't the V90 CC have rear window blinds as standard?

It does, but they only seem to cover 2/3rd of the window and never the bit that's dazzling my son.
