Do you also find the distance it sits behind a car can vary quite a bit?

There's been the rare occasion where even on the highest setting it's barely leaving a 2 second gap for me.

Conversely I've also had it where it can sit way, way back.
Dunno yet, I’ve only done 20 miles! biggrin

yes
It doesn’t seem to correlate to the speed you’re going either.
Must admit I don’t get on with adaptive on motorways and I always switch back to std cruise on the motorway. Rarely am I in start stop traffic thank god, but the times I am it works nicely there

Busy, NSL, single carriageway is where it comes into its own.

Sometimes I would like to have the standard cruise option for dual-carriageways.

Sorry if I’m teaching granny to suck eggs.....
You can change on the “left” screen between normal cruise and active.
There’s a button bottom right.

What am I missing here when you say button bottom right? I've only ever cycled through between cruise and pilot assist using the arrows on the left of the wheel.

Swipe right on the main screen. Lots of options on there.

Got you now, this is when having 2 electronic screens, 2 sets of physical buttons and virtual buttons can get confusing when trying to explain.

Yes, reading back my instructions are not so good biggrin

On the touchscreen, screen with all the on off switches for the safety stuff etc is a "cruise control" button.

This changes between adaptive and standard cruise control. You cannot activate it when cruise control is active.
Your dashboard screen will then say "distance keeping inactive" or something instead of "Adaptive Cruise"

So, after 9 months it was finally delivered yesterday
Really unfortunate but really unprofessional to attempt and hand it over in that state. Always a shame when something happens like that on a handover as it takes a bit of a shine off the experience.

To be fair, the delivery driver didn’t have a choice and he was gutted about the chips that happened on his journey over. He was even more gutted when I started to point out the scratches. Then to top it off I noticed the dent. The car was wet when he collected it so easily missed.

I’m loving the car though, the spec is unbelievable. I keep finding things that I wasn’t expecting; keyless entry, boot open/close with your foot etc. Need to work out remote start and preconditioning...
Perhaps I should have done more research in the 9 months I’ve been waiting!
First proper journey in it tomorrow, I’m looking forward to testing Pilot Assist smile

Pilot assist is far better than I ever envisaged on a long journey. Have noticed it can occasionally think your hands aren't on the wheel when you're only holding it with one.

On the flip side, I have kept my hands off the wheel deliberately and it hasn't had a hissy fit at all.

Do I have the boot open/close with my foot? It's a V90 CC with the only option the 360 camera/BLIS system. How do I get it to work?

My V90 arrives on 21 October via RGW Leasing. Has anyone had any joy recently with service plan deals? I've seen chat about £399 and £599 deals in the past but don't even know who the supplying dealer is so don't know where to start!

Hi.

My S90 came up with a message while driving today asking for a service, but the next one isn't due for 6 months. Looking at the status, the oil level is saying overfilled, but I'm sure it read full after the last service. I had a look under the filler cap and there isn't any gunk, but there was a faint trail of steam coming from it.

What do we reckon?

Sometimes the dealer sets the service schedule when it arrives, and doesn't set it at handover, although it seems unlikely your car would have been sitting at the dealer for six months.

Have you done the health check in the Volvo On Call app? It's all under warranty, so It's be tempted to call the dealer or the On Call helpline and see what they say.

The car was new into the country when I got it and had its first service back in March. I ended up calling the dealer who said to see what happens when you next drive it, which won't be until next weekend now. Googling, I think it is waste diesel increasing the level from DPF regeneration, which sounds horrific for the engine...

Our did exactly this 6 months after its last service. It's diesel overspilling into the oil during regen. Dealer should be able to sort under warranty by dropping a bit of oil.

Got a problem with my V90.
Basically car went in for 3 months service.
Now won't communicate with my phone with on call.
So no remote start, no unlock etc
I initially had problems with the car not picking up my WiFi hotspot from my phone.

They used their own phone and it worked fine. They offered a software update which would take all day. So according to that, they didn't update anything as I refused the update.

I emailed Volvo UK. They said I have to go to the dealer. The dealer said someone else had the same problems and they were unable to fix it.
Worrying indeed as I consider this essential to the car.
