Is it definitely DAB? I get prog info on DAB both in the dash and on the central display. I only need to go into the audio to see the currently playing track details.

Just had the first service done

295 plus 7 quid for insurance on their courtesy car, a V40 Inscription which made me realise just how nice the V90 Inscription is

They set the service indicator when they PDI'd mine so its at 11 months of ownership.
As I suggested a long way back if you're planning to game the intervals on a 24/36 month deal watch out for this
And interestingly the next service is showing as due in 360 days
So much for the fixed yearly policy....
Anyway Im on an 18 month deal so not too stressed

What did annoy me was that the car wasnt washed because of a plumbing problem yet the forecourt was soaked when I returned with every car outside newly gleaming. Not a biggie, just irritating.

Oh, and they didnt update the maps for me which I kind of expected when informed the software had been updated.
It had a software upgrade in the summer after a meltdown when many of the systems failed which is why I assumed theyd done the maps
Speaking of which I still cant get the bloody thing to pick up my home wifi, even parked next to a window with an access point next to it with my phone showing a full wifi signal - anyone else??

I managed to get my V90 CC to connect to the Home Wi-Fi but I had to put it right next to the AP by the front door, I also think I had to disable the on-board SIM for internet so that it was able to connect...

Hi has anyone managed the price match on the service? I’ve don’t this before on my other cars (VW,Audi) the Volvo website states will price match any garage in a 5 mile radius that is using genuine parts and oil. I’ve rang two dealerships and both have said it’s only priced matched with other Volvo dealerships! Surely there isn’t many if any Volvo dealerships within 5 miles of each other!?

Ended up ringing Volvo Uk and they agreed the garages are wrong in what they are quoting it being another Volvo franchise, so they will price match any garage in 5 mile radius but finding it hard to get someone to give me a written quote

I've managed to do a lot more miles than I initially thought I would, and for some reason thought I needed to service the car at 12,000 miles or 12 months. I've already on 11,100 miles but after asking the dealer, it's a service every 12 months or 18,000 miles and can be done within a 1,000 miles/1 month either side of the due dates.

I was going to do it early, just before I hit the 12,000 mark as I'm going on holiday in December and the car would have been on about 12,500 by the time we'd have come back in January, and it fitted in better with work commitments aswell.

But since this isn't required anymore I'll just wait till the 12 month mark.
