My V90 is due to go back in March/ April, for the people like me who jumped on the cheap leases early, what have you replaced yours with?

I’ve had a love/ hate relationship with mine.

Pros
Relaxing- I end each journey feeling relaxed and I don’t drive like a tosser in it because it’s not that type of car.
Space- it’s huge
Ease of parking- for such a large car, it’s so easy to park and manoeuvre. A rear camera is a must though in my opinion.

Cons
Gearbox- really dim witted
Fun- or complete lack of
Infotainment- The touch screen is fiddly and a little laggy.

Overall though I would recommend one though and going by the amount you see on the road they are proving popular, especially with the cheap leases!

Found Saturday morning my 2 week old v90 has a completely flat tyre, with something nail-like protruding ever so slightly from the shoulder of the tyre.

The car didn't come with a spare wheel, so I was lucky that the guy at the garage was good enough to drive round with his mobile compressor to blow it up enough to drive it over to him for a new tyre.

Two questions, how on earth does a car of this spec not have a spare wheel in the boot, and do I need to tell my lease company about this?

How hard have you looked?

Mine definitely has a spare under the boot floor

It should come with either a spare or a tyre sealant kit to get you to a garage. I would've thought that Volvo on call would've sorted you out too considering roadside assistance is included for the first 12 months. Have a check in the manual/rummage in the boot and familiarise yourself incase it happens again, it's a pain not having a spare but a lot of cars don't these days unfortunately.

Only problem with a tyre sealant kit I believe, is that once you've used it then they cant repair the tyre. So it goes from potentially a £20 puncture repair to a new tyre...

Good point. Although in this case if it was in the shoulder of the the I'd have thought repair would be unlikely anyway. It is an inconvenient trend.

Because you decided not to specify one when ordering the car, and no unless you have a maintenance agreement that covers tyres.

Everyone should own a DIY 'tyre string' puncture repair kit, they can save so much hassle. Never use the sealant if you can help it.

Over 22k miles I’ve averaged 30 MPG, it’s a pretty thirsty engine but once run in very smooth.
What is the running in period on these? I always thought it was around 1000 miles but I've read elsewhere this is a bit of an urban myth. I guess the question is when can I expect slightly better fuel economy!

For me it was approx 4000 miles until it reliably topped 40+ mpg on the motorway

I've just gone through the 7k mark on mine and it seems to have taken a leap north.
This may coincide with the fact I've realised if you use the gears manually when accelerating ( glacially of course) - and upshift as sooom as it lets you - it's more economical than leaving it in eco mode in auto.
Bit of a pain with no paddle shift though.

We've got a 2018 D4 and it's worse on fuel than it ever has been (21k miles and around 40mpg lifetime).

Reduced my mileage considerably over the last few months... and ive had a couple warnigns flash up about the oil level being too high... I havent put any oil in during its 25000 miles life so far, and it was serviced at 18k earlier in the year.

So then I read about this https://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=29...

So its off to Volvo to see if they can diagnose the issue....

Seems to drive fine... warning has only come up a few times, but oil level has shown at maximum on display whenever ive looked. Maybe it needs a good thrash ??? oh and its a V90 D5

Our D4 did the same. The DPF regen uses diesel to flush, which ends up in the oil system. Dealer sorted it FOC in about 30 mins.

Just been in for the 1st (only hopefully) service on my T5, don't know if its just a mind trick but it absolutely feels much more sprightly, don't know if the software update has done something? 10000 miles in and looking for the next Santander lease, great cars

Don't hold your breath

Running down the clock on mine, it's been great so asked Santander to quote for a replacement

Disappointed doesn't begin to cover it

Vastly more expensive now frown

The S60 Inscription T5 is a pretty good price though last time I looked. Not listed on the website right now but it was around £270 per month. Worth asking them.

Start by seeing which exact specs Select Car Leasing have on special offer, and getting quotes for those.
