Anyone still with a V90CC had the same recall notice from Santander I got in the post today?

It's a software issue with the automatic emergency braking system that requires a software update at a Volvo dealership workshop.
Not had a letter yet, but AEB was updated at the service last month.

V90 T4, same recall notice.

Yes, S90 T4. Took it in a couple of weeks ago, went for a walk and buy a coffee for half and hour, came back and it was done. Most exciting thing I've done in six weeks...

Same here, but already had a letter from Volvo and had the recall done.

Noticed today on my V90CC that I had got a long deepish horizontal scratch across the passenger rear door and rear panel, cutting across the wheel arch trim. Looks like supermarket carpark damage, more than a trolley though - I reckon a car reversing out has done it (I was parked front in). I don't know when or where exactly as it is not on the side I would normally see! The scratch is a deepish surface scratch cutting through the paint to the primer, but the wheelarch trim has probably took the worse of it as this also has a slight indent. Anyone know how much it would cost to fix? My excess is £300, so would rather avoid going through the insurer.

No recall letter or email for me.

Service time for me now though. I'm sure you could easily get prices online from the main dealers a few months ago but no luck finding them just now. Is it a case of ringing round for the cheapest price?

I’ve received two recall letters!

Booked in for it, along with the first service in July. The supplying dealership offered to do the service for £200 by way of apology for a few issues I had during collection last year. That’s still an expensive oil change, but as a complete deal this car has been a bargain so I can’t grumble.

Yes - I received one direct from Volvo over a month ago. Had my service on Monday (where the software update was applied) and, when I arrived home, another letter from the finance company telling me about the recall was in my postbox!

I had work to get on with so stayed in the branch which isn't close to other shops - no complimentary drinks or cookies due to social distancing, raging! redfacelaugh

I should be picking mine up next week - T4 on a two year deal.

Have recently come out of a two year deal on a Mustang GT so looking forward to some practicality and a little more sedate/predictable handling.

Volvo will price match a written quote from any garage within 5 miles using 'genuine Volvo parts'.
I got a quote for £221-ish from Halfords (1st annual service). Volvo did it for £220 and didn't even ask to see the quote.

Cheers Driller.
Did just this and turned out to be a franchised garage over the road from the Volvo Dealer. Princely sum of £98.08.
Spoke to the Volvo dealer who is checking with his boss if they can price match. Waiting for a call back.
They quoted me £330 Inc vat last week....

Also, a letter dropped through the door this morning from Santander about an increase in VED. They'll be taking £30 out as per my contract for the increase. That's for the year.
Anyone else get one?
V90CC btw.

That’s great let me know how you get on. I really hope you get the 98 quid price,

Due to finalize and collect a v90 T4 momentum plus over the next week or so.

Any feedback from those with longer term use and economy from the petrol engine? I'm coming from a diesel which has been super frugal.

Also for those with momentum how have you found the specification, can't help but feel like missing out compared to r-design, mainly the aesthetics personally as for tech and kit it actually seems very well covered. Thx

My T4 Inscription liked a drink but was offset by the cheapness of the deal

It was shocking in town, not that it did many miles there, but loosened up after a few thousand miles to give around 40mpg on the motorway.

My main frustration with the car was the modest fuel tank. It ate miles but needed to stop more regularly than my previous cars

Was a lovely place to be though and I miss it

As above - poor around town but on longer journeys in Eco mode, or on the motorway, about 40 mpg.

Mine is the older Momentum (not a 'Plus') but can't really complain about the kit. You don't notice the aesthetics from the inside of the car!

I would have no problem getting another Volvo if the price was right.

Thanks, expect I will lose some economy but the deal is very good so will offset some of that. Looking forward too picking if up next weekend.

Be interested to hear people's experience of returning to Volvo / santander. Also it looks like the price match on a local service with main dealer seems the way to go to keep those costs down?
