Did just this and turned out to be a franchised garage over the road from the Volvo Dealer. Princely sum of £98.08.
Spoke to the Volvo dealer who is checking with his boss if they can price match. Waiting for a call back.
They quoted me £330 Inc vat last week....
Also, a letter dropped through the door this morning from Santander about an increase in VED. They'll be taking £30 out as per my contract for the increase. That's for the year.
Anyone else get one?
V90CC btw.

Santander have confirmed I can get serviced outside of the dealer network provided the garage use OEM parts (filter?) and correct oil.
Still hoping dealer will get close to this price, I don't understand how one authorised dealer can charge less 1/3 of the volvo dealer. It's not a backstreet 1 man band garage!
I've had the recall letter, but not the VED increase...

Definitely.
Wish I had taken photos.
Who actually receives these charges BCA or the finance company or both?
Ask them for the photos. Wish I had taken photos.

Charges paid to lease co.

Just because they've decided not to describe all the damage or repair it before sale doesn't mean that you're somehow not liable for it.
If it’s genuine damage I agree. My issue is that out of the 4 ‘picky’ items (one I can agree with) I consider them to be within the BVRLA fair wear and tear guidelines and believe this to be just a way of them extorting money at the end of a cheap lease?
Thanks for your advise but I think I will continue to dispute the 3 items and see where they want to take it.
I don’t like the idea of just paying up as it kind of defeats the object of a cheap lease deal if your hit with hundreds of pounds of over zealous extra charges at return.

You may not be liable for it and should certainly dispute items you feel are within the guidelines. My issue is that out of the 4 ‘picky’ items (one I can agree with) I consider them to be within the BVRLA fair wear and tear guidelines and believe this to be just a way of them extorting money at the end of a cheap lease?

However once again this has nothing whatever to do with how they decide to describe the vehicle for onward sale.

If it makes good money they won't be able to do that.

Just tried the same and the Hyundai dealer next to my local volvo dealer are £91 for interim service, compared to volvo £330. It's an oil change and 'safety inspection', £330 is extortion.

The Hyundai garage called me to say the quoted £91 service that I accepted and booked was no longer valid as the car was in warranty and it would now be £290.
Excellent.
Now, I know the special 'warranty' engine oil is expensive and volvo oil filters are gold plated, but a 200%+ increase in price for what will be the identical service is rather daft in my opinion.

My as new V90 CC T5 has gone back to Santander today. Was a very painless experience - apparently it will be in Wakefield (from Essex) tomorrow to go through the auction.
I was surprised at the depreciation if I had purchased. List price was in the mid £40s but WBAC offered £24.5k for a 15 month old car with less than 8000 miles. Even if I had paid £35k for it, that's a huge drop. In the end, it's cost less than £5k so that's not so bad.
I wouldn't get one again, if I am honest. It rode nicely, and the interior was nice, but the engine and gearbox were poor. Glad I got to experience owning one for a bit though.
