The Volvo S90/V90 lease thread
Discussion
Just had my T4 serviced. When I booked I'm pretty sure it was £325 but can't quite remember and it wasn't on the email. Get to the service desk and they said it was £350 and that was that, take it or leave it. While waiting I checked Volvo UK website and it said at that dealers it was £300, they honoured the £300 but they weren't happy.
I like the car but servicing is not cheap and going off this forum Volvo prices are quite variable.

I had similar crap previously. Booked it on the Volvo website and it said £290 - and confirmed in the email. Conversation at the garage was... so the Service normally comes in around £350. Oh that's funny I said, it says £290 on the email... oh ok that's fine then, £290 it is they immediately said.I like the car but servicing is not cheap and going off this forum Volvo prices are quite variable.
They just try it on. I reckon 75% of people don't even notice. Maybe it's just a Surrey thing...

Price-matched local Halfords.

Booked the first service for my v90 t4 today. Was pleasantly surprised with the quote given. Apparently as I have only covered 6500 miles I can have an adjusted service at £159.
Result as I was expecting almost double that.
Hi was that at a Volvo main dealer franchise? Mine going in on Monday t4 first service and quoted £275 having not even done 4k would love this to be a Volvo thing to achieve the saving.Result as I was expecting almost double that.

It’s Volvo Newcastle, it did take me three emails to get them to reply with a price, I emailed the service manager direct and he replied with that price.
Let’s see if I have to argue over it on Thursday when the service is getting done.
I put my t4 in for service on Monday and enquired and was offered the smaller service for £179 and was told you cant do two adjusted services in a row so anyone handing car back before second service this would be ideal. I unfortunately or fortunately depends how you look at it had a Volvo voucher to the value of £350 to which they wouldn't let me spend the balance on anything else so opted for full service at £279 losing £71 as apposed to £171 not best pleased but heyho.Let’s see if I have to argue over it on Thursday when the service is getting done.

Service done today confirmed £159. No need to argue over the price
Only issue was no wash and vacuum because of Covid, shame as it was due it’s six monthly wash.
Nice one. They did a full valet on mine a month ago, so maybe they fobbed you off with you getting a cheaper price!Only issue was no wash and vacuum because of Covid, shame as it was due it’s six monthly wash.

My Volvo V90 CC ends in 3 months.
I’m worried for the same money my next car is going to be a downgrade. Anyone else feeling the same? Or have you found something comparable?
I have the same issue but managed a 3 month extension, so now have a bit more time to sort something out. Sadly my wife isn't keen on me going the porker route I’m worried for the same money my next car is going to be a downgrade. Anyone else feeling the same? Or have you found something comparable?

Has anyone actually been charged for any damage outside the fair wear and tear guide? My S90 went back several weeks ago, had an email the same day of collection from bca with condition report quoting £260+ vat charges. Heard nothing from Santander since.
For my early 5th June return I had no damage but a missing key. I still haven't received any notification of charges and they haven't taken the final lease payment. L1oyd said:

Same.. I'm on an informal extension atm for another few months, but there is nothing else like the V90 out the for £238 on a 9+23. I had a Golf-R Estate ordered at circa £250, but due to COVID delivery was delayed and the car tax increase pushed it over £300 pm.I’m worried for the same money my next car is going to be a downgrade. Re: servicing mine just had the 2nd service (late) and it was just under £500. Didn't argue as Volvo UK were paying for it due to a mess-up at delivery, but still.. damn expensive.

£500? Crikey! After mulling over whether or not to try and get away with not getting my V90 T5 CC serviced one year into an 18 month lease, I rang Santander to enquire about the possibility of a reduced price for a smaller service, as mentioned in previous comments. They didn't know anything about it, but suggested I take it to Halfords in order to beat the quote from my local Volvo dealer (£270). So I did, at a cost of £200, which was more palatable. Santander also offered me a 3 month extension to March 2021, which I accepted due to the woeful lack of tempting lease deals around currently. It will definitely be going back at the 21 month mark, thus avoiding £500 for a second service!
