Hi all,

The 3 year lease on my auto Mazda 6 estate (Santander) expires in early December, and I am seriously considering a V60 or V90 over three years, Auto again.

https://www.santanderconsumer.co.uk/123contracthir...

Anyone know of any better deals with a reliable mainstream company, not some fly by night operation? smile
I noticed the other day that the sanatander deals are now crap

I’m paying £314 a month for a v90 on an 18 month deal, the same car on the same deal is now £669!

No thanks.

My S90 T4 lease is being picked up on Monday by BCA. Enjoyed the car for how big the interior is and the comfortable ride on a motorway on long trips using cruise control and lane assist. It was a thirsty car, averaging 31mpg.

Always thought the engine was underpowered for a car of this size.

On a seperate note, have the Brodit iPad mini/iPhone holder for sale now incase someone is interested.

Thanks for that, Halfords stated they use OE parts, not volvo parts, also on the Halfords invoice, it states BOSCH for most parts, I still have a case?
As I don't believe Volvo make their own oil, oil filters, spark plugs etc then, yes, I would think so.
There are numerous examples on the general leasing thread and this thread of Volvo price matching Halfords (my garage matched my Halfords quote in April for the 12-month service at £220). Sounds more like your local franchise just trying it on.
My S90 T4 is in for it's first (12k) service today. Also having the software recall. The dealer refused to price match Halfords £199. They said:

"That is not a like for like quotation as it does not include service software and Halfords have also quoted you for an air filter which is not needed until 36000 miles (you actually need a pollen filter). I can reduce the cost from £281 to £256 but unfortunately I cannot match Halfords."

Get Halfords to change their quote?
A recall is a no-cost item!

Personally I would be getting Volvo UK involved - it is their policy which I would assume is not liable to personal interpretation by individual franchises.

Is there a reason he shouldn't? Is £57 inconsequential to you? Did the poster pay £38,000 in cash for his car?

I bet you can count the number of people who paid £38k for one on no hands.
£57 was a nice meal for two last month.

Lots of people posting about collection, can you please share what you have as a replacement?

My V90 CC is going back at the end of Sept and given the lack of lease deals around at the moment I think the only option will be to extend...if that’s even possible.

We got a decent deal direct with Volvo (using Santander as finance and local dealer to deliver) for a V60 (about £250 odd). It was a bit of an experiment by Volvo, to do it direct, not sure if they've continued or if there are any deals at the moment.

Mine went back in May and remains unsold in the dealer network

There was nothing remotely competitive and I'm currently in s 5 series PCP

V90 T4 goes back tomorrow after 3 month extension, just replaced with a used 2017 XC90 T8 r-design - number crunching spreadsheet says I need to keep for 4 years before selling to get a similar monthly to previous lease deals.

Buy v lease experiment begins....

BTW for a USED Volvo the official main dealer services include 12mnth full road side assistance, onward travel breakdown cover, which is a decent bonus and offsets the high prices!

V90 was never picked up despite 2 confirmation emails - Volvo Fleet/ collection agency proving slow to respond with explanation. No idea when it goes now.

New to this thread, but thought I'd share this which I've also posted on the main lease deals thread - might be of interest to someone here, given it seems there are a few looking for a new car (though please don't laugh at how much I'm paying compared to those of you that got the old Santander deals!!)....

I've been looking at some of the in-stock Volvo S90 T4 Momentum Plus deals knocking around....a number of reasonable offers available over recent weeks (though not as good as previous Santander ones, I know) and I was about to sign up to one at around £340 on a 3+35 10K miles, available from a few places (or via Santander for £360/month with no deposit).

However this popped up on leasing.com last night going direct with Volvo Car Leasing and I've just signed up for one on these terms (can be altered to other profiles):

https://leasing.com/main-dealers/volvo-car-leasing...

£307.74/month on a 3+35 10K miles, no additional fees.

They responded very quickly to my enquiry last night, I got a call this morning from my local dealer, finance approved in seconds and in the space of a couple of hours I have my car reserved. Couldn't have gone smoother. I think it is financed by Santander as it happens.

There are a number of cars available in stock from the dealership network, and the price includes metallic paint (unless you prefer the white one for the same money). The only catch is that delivery must be this month.

Given the dearth of good deals at the moment, I think this kind of thing is about as good as it gets. Works out approx 30% of list (over 3 years).

Can anyone point me at a list for Volvo/Santander damage charges? Tried searching the thread but couldn’t find anything. My V90 is due to go back next week and I’m expecting at least an alloy to be charged.
