Think you've got a problem, VE68 UND does not register on DVLA or askmid, ie latter means not insured. Either a wrong number recorded or something else going on.

Edited to add VE68 UMD is a Silver VOLVO XC60 2.0(17ON)T5AWD R-DESIG250 if that's any help.

Thanks FiF I wasn’t aware DVLA could be checked. The other askmid thing I saw it was £?percheck. This is the note handed to the wife. The last letter of reg is questionable. Ignore the long number it’s the police incident number.

Thanks for everyone’s help and sorry for thread diversion. Insurance are contacting owner of other car and their insurer. Fingers crossed for a speedy resolution.

With regards to V90/S90 the thread will probably wither on the vine as we slowly hand these back due to a lack of similar good deals at present.

In the interests of keeping it alive, has anyone noticed that the indicators seem to change speed sometimes? Just seems to occasionally do a slower or quicker flash. Drives me nuts because I can’t work out if it’s the car or me hearing things.

Yes, mine does that. I presume it’s just a glitch in the electronic sound that mimics a relay, rather than the indicators actually changing speed.

Another oddity is the mirrors don’t always fold in when you lock the car.

I've never come across that one!

The only issues I've had are the buttons on the right of the steering wheel not responding (a good whack seems to get them going again) and Spotify is 50:50 as whether it will connect and work. I forgot to mention the steering wheel buttons when it was serviced and then thought it didn't matter as the car was due back soon, but now I've extended I wish I had got them sorted.

Same for us with the Spotify. The mirrors thing has been a constant for over 2 yrs.

Yes, you might be right, I only ever hear it, I've not "seen" it.

We had a V90 for a couple of years then got a V60 in the summer. I think the mirrors not always folding/ raising after reversing and Spotify generally being a grumpy gimp are 'features' of the Volvo software architecture.

What's the story on tyre tread when returning the car?

I'm close to the wear markers but still above, hoping it's a case of if they're legal it's fine?

Obviously you can't expect the person collecting it to commit a criminal offence by driving off on illegal tyres. Other than that there's nothing to worry about.

I think the question was hinting at
" Do they need tohave MORE tread left than legal minimum"

as an example - 3 mm left etc.
