My S90 D5 going back next week 3 months early from a 3yr lease, after 44k well under the contracted 60k due to COVID.

Luckily no cancellation charges but have 3 fairly kerded 21 inch alloys. The 35mm side walls were useless at any kerb protection.

Does anybody have experience of costs etc, I spoke to ALD Leasing they didsay it’s best to leave and pay the fees rather than repair myself.

The collection is by BCA.

Thanks

My V90 R-Design Plus is due back in September leased from Santander123. Rang up today to enquire about extensions, got refused anything other than a 28 day, billed daily! Was surprised (and disappointed - would have been quite happy in it for another 12mths). Anyone else experienced the same? I assumed its not just a case of call centre roulette.

EDIT: Just looking back through the thread looks like I'm not the only one..

Yep, same for me.

So it’s farewell to the trusty vulva tomorrow…

So, Manheim inspection completed. They picked up on scuffs on both front wheels:

OSF

NSF

They’ve left it on my drive with no indication of when they’re collecting it. I’ve got the keys so intend to move it onto the road when the new car arrives at about 1pm. There was a suggestion that I wouldn’t be insured but my insurance policy is valid until 23.59…

I’m mildly irritated.

Mild irritation is turning to annoyance...

"Good afternoon,
Once the vehicle has been inspected, the vehicle can no longer be driven until we collect otherwise the inspection will be void.
The collection team will contact you once they have a date for collection.
Kind regards,
The Bookings Team"

Remarkable that they expect people to have space to store a car for them for an unspecified amount of time.

I’ve been offered 3 months at 255, 6 months at 265 or 12 months at 275. This is with Lex Autolease rather than Santander

That’s on 6k a year deal for a T4 momentum plus which I was originally paying 208 for on a 9+23 (280 amortised)

Will need the 2nd expensive service but looking at current prices, extending seems the best option, surprisingly competitive given they could probably sell it right now for a lot more than they expected!

Yeah I wouldn't bother getting them fixed, probably will be in the region of £50 a corner and you might get lucky and not get charged for one or more of them. So it's likely less than having them done yourself and might be significantly less!

What are you replacing it with? Trying to decide if the current crop of leases are worth it vs buying something used... :-(

Yeah, I'd have bitten their arm off at that I think :-)

Agreed. There are no interesting lease offers whatsoever.

So this is the S90’s replacement…A7 50tdi black edition:

I don't think that will really impact UK - they've always preferred hulking SUVs to estates, there are loads of euro manufacturers who have never even bothered launching the estate version of their cars there.

Am looking at running a new V90 lease but best price is over 4 years rather than 3. Does anyone have experience of cost of buying an additional 12mths of Volvo warranty so I can factor this in?

My S90 is up for sale in Stourbridge (awaiting pictures) for £25,000.

I can't seem to find my Volvo app pin number to decouple from the Volvo Assist...anyone know how to find this out? I know I can delete the app but would prefer to be fully erased from it.

Obviously could have fun by setting off the alarm and lights, pretending I've possessed the car in some sort of Christine style. Doubt the dealer would be happy with the potential financial hit of a haunted vehicle...

Our V90 D4 Momentum is up for £26500 at Poole Volvo. It is a 68 plate with 17500 miles so it seems quite expensive to me.

Sign of the times, minimal stocks of anything

My Inscription went for 22k just under 2y old on 10k miles during the initial wave of Covid
