The Volvo S90/V90 lease thread
Discussion
Looks like I'll be joining the S90 leasers club.
Was told on Wednesday the Leon Cupra 300 I ordered in January still hasn't got an allocated build week yet, so spent the evening trawling stock cars to replace my A4 which is due back in June. Saw a half-reasonable deal on a S90 Momentum so decided to do more searching on Thursday morning and came across this absolute steal from Nationwide:
Volvo S90 D4 R Design Geartronic incl. metallic and Winter Pack
8k miles, 9+23 @ £216 inc VAT + £198 fee.
Stock car to be registered by 30th May.
Found the deal around 9am, called the broker to get the ball rolling, test drove one at the local dealer at lunchtime and had the finance forms returned by 3pm. Had an email at 7:30am on Friday to say the finance was approved. Freaking love efficiency.
Can't wait to get in it now!

Cracking deal that. Anymore left? Somebody in work is looking one. https://www.nationwidevehiclecontracts.co.uk/Someone on the lease deals thread says they called and there's none left, although the website was still showing 'In stock' this morning. I actually found a pretty decent deal on the Momentum on CH&L which is what prompted me to go round a load of brokers' websites and check - sheer chance I landed on Nationwide's page.

Got the same deal - Only the Bright Silver one left (would have preferred Onyx Black but hey ho not a problem). So there must have been a glut of these in the country (from China). My current vehicle is with Nationwide (Passat) - I will pay £20 more a month for this vehicle. Nationwide have been pretty good - you gotta be watching the site really closely... and phone up to make sure you get the special offers. Apparently they were awash with enquiries - and the latest ones on offer went quickly (there was a couple of Momentum Pros lon offer last week - I would have preferred that spec).... but looking forward to the R Design (anyone tell me if the seats are alcantra/leather ??)Was told on Wednesday the Leon Cupra 300 I ordered in January still hasn't got an allocated build week yet, so spent the evening trawling stock cars to replace my A4 which is due back in June. The seats are 3 types of leather. Bolsters are a combination of nice nappa and perforated leathers and main seat and back are nubuck leather (the other side of the leather, ie, the cows hairy outer skin which is then sanded and stained. That'll be quite nice in winter when leather can be cold. Saying that, heated seats are pretty quick at warming up anyway.soupdragon1 said:

Great - Thanks Soupdragon I am a reasonably high miles driver and currently looking at a V90 D4 R Design lease. I have a couple of questions for the thread hive mind now that the lease V90's have been on the road for a bit -
What would be the approx servicing costs over 24 months and 50k miles?
My current Passat GT with the non adblue diesel is doing a regular 52/mpg over a 100 mile daily M25 commute. Don't really want to fill up more than once a week and getting 750ish miles out the VW. What is the average range and MPG from a tank?
Is the Pilot Assist genuinely better than standard adaptive cruise? Any drawbacks with the system? Anything that reduces my M25 workload is a major selling point!
Does the R Design come with B Pillar tints (my kids call them 'Dad Tints')? I quite like not being able to open all the windows with the kids in the car and those cat sun screen things drive me mad and block blind spot visibility on the motorway.
Is the Inscription worth the extra over the R design for a bit more comfort? Not a huge fan of S Line type suspensions and rubber band tyres.
TIA

I have just had a set of car shades fitted V90 R Design, looks a lot better now as the windows aren’t tinted at the rear, I have a set that I’m selling if anyone is interested.https://www.carshades.co.uk
I have had these on a few cars and they are excellent. I did look on their website and V90 isn't listed yet, only S90? Got a link?Edited by rgdogg on Saturday 5th May 21:25

Nathan - non Adblue? 1.6?
I realise I come across as a bit of a fanboy, but this is my first Volvo I just think they have nailed it with the V90. It looks great, drives great, awesome stereo, superb interior with high quality materials and stitched leather everywhere, great tech, etc etc. I'm over the moon.

Not sure but I think more expensive than the VW. H6Nathan said:

V90: Impressive mpg (see my post previous page) but relatively poor range (550-600 miles for me so far). It's a smaller tank than the VW at only 55l. It was 70l on the Alltrack (although my Alltrack had similar range as I found the mpg to be rubbish. Never saw 50mpg even on a nun run).H6Nathan said:

PA just works. It's awesome. Nothing quite like eating a takeaway round the M25 while your car does the steering! You can also have adaptive cruise only if you like. AC is better than the VW because I've found you can set it to be closer to the car infront, discouraging people cutting in on motorways during rush hour/high traffic volumes.H6Nathan said:

I need to check but if they are tinted it's only slightly. See post above.H6Nathan said:

R-Design isn't like M Sport or R Line. It's firmer, yes, but I don't find the ride intrusive. Standard wheels look good and are 245/45/18 so there's plenty of rubber there. I do think the Inscription would be more comfortable though. The other bonus with Inscription would be the ability to spec the glorious blonde interior which really is sensational. There's not a better interior on the market in my view.I realise I come across as a bit of a fanboy, but this is my first Volvo I just think they have nailed it with the V90.
