The Volvo V60 Lease Thread
Discussion
I'm tempted by a Cross Country to replace my XC60. Thing is looking at the brochure Volvo UK don't seem to be sure what the standard spec is and what the Pro spec adds. Pro and a unique Cross Country seat trim are mentioned once in the brochure, but no further details and neither are in the price list.
I've mentioned it to my normal dealer (who I've been confusing with my spec requirements), but they also seem to be struggling to get any information out of Volvo UK.

Anyone a bit miffed with the lack of automatic luggage cover?
I thought it would have been like normal estates where the luggage cover rises half way up the C pillar and then covers the luggage when the boot is lowered.
It seems strange how the V90 does this but not the little brother.

I can’t get to grips with the auto hold, seems to always want to put the handbrake on, then next time I get in the car it just holds? Then sometimes when wanting to reverse it won’t move unless I turn auto hold off then handbrake off ?
Parking brake won't release unless you have your foot on brake pedal. I think.niva441 said:
It also gets a bit upset if your not using the seat belt. I managed to manoeuvre a new XC60 around the house, then it wouldn't let me move again until I put the belt on.
My V90 has the strictest seat belt compliance system I have ever encountered, admittedly not something I can really complain aboutInfamousKeiran said:

Yes, I knew it wouldn't be automatic, but it is a tt. You generally notice you forgot to put it down the first time you check the mirror after setting off. I saw something about the xc60 changing to a powered one, but clearly that didn't make it into the v60. Anyone get GAP insurance for a lease car like this? I have no idea if it is needed????
No big upfront payment on the Santander deals so I dunno why you'd bother?InfamousKeiran said:

This is actually the main thing putting me of getting one at the moment. A flappy retractable blind that needs operating separately from opening the boot, what a disaster. We've done 1400 miles in 2 months which is a bit lower than average, more frequent trips up north to come. A lot of very short journeys and just one long one 400miles and some in between. Average is now 29.1mpg, longer motorway was around 35mpg when doing about 75mph ave.
The boot cover is a bit annoying, but used to it now, after a couple of times of leaving it up only to notice I'd done that when I sat down and could only see out of half the back windscreen

Has anyone taken it in for a month checkup? Not looked but I think the Service Book had a 3 month checkup thing in it?
Parking easy, even without the front lady parking sensors...
Not yet, but keep meaning to. There's an outstanding recall for them (software update) that needs to be done at the same time. Parking easy, even without the front lady parking sensors...
