Hurrah. Just had email that my T5 Momentum in savile grey has arrived a month early. I don't know how long the dealers take to prep but hopefully collecting very soon.

Great news! Which date did you order out of interest?
Ordered on 14th August.

I ordered the 20th August, so by that logic I should be getting mine a week later that you!

So have Santander sent you additional paperwork to sign etc?

We ordered 31 Aug and were given Nov 21st delivery, re-confirmed by the Dealer as Nov 23rd. So with any luck if that replicates your timescale then I guess it could be a little earlier. Need to sort out selling V40 first as well!

Did you have or did you open a Santander 123 World account as these offers were listed as being for those bank customers? And if not, has it been mentioned at all?

I had to give our bank account details at one point, maybe during credit check, and not being a Santander account wondered if it would get picked up when I gave the sort code.

Thanks!

I used my Nat West account for credit check but I do have a 123 savings account. I'll see if it says anything in the document pack when it arrives for the monthly DD . Will let you know if it insists on 123 for the payments. It's easy enough to open one if necessary anyway.

I opened a 123 Lite account specifically to get the lease offers.

My documents came with the direct debit mandate filled in already with my Santander bank details. However, I was asked for my Santander account details when I placed the order.

This information would be really helpful for quite a few of us. Thanks.

Document pack arrived. Car at dealership ready for collection when docs returned. Have registration number and vin number. 3 sets of docs to sign, one to keep, two sets to return. DD mandate pre filled in with my nat west account. No mention of 123 account. Photocopy of drivers license or passport needed to send to.
All returned now. Shouldn't be long before collection. Just have to arrange insurance.

Nice! Look forward to some pics, but even more so, your thoughts on the T5 engine!

Thanks for the info, esp about the bank account. Hope it all goes smoothly.

Just got off the phone from the dealer... my car went into production 2 days ago. I have VIN and registration. He hopes it will be with by the end of the month. Fingers crossed!

Great news. That's really quick turn around to get it that quick from it starting to be built.

Yeah I thought so too, perhaps my dealer is being a little over optimistic! But then again I guess if it's being built in Belgium it isn't too far away.

Is it Belgium, or Sweden? I found some stuff saying they were built at Torslanda, but nothing concrete on the Volvo website +Belgium would make more sense for it to take over from the old V60. I suppose the VIN will tell you.

T5 Inscription delivered this morning from Stoneacre, haven't got round to selling my Passat yet or sorting out the insurance so i suspect it will be parked up for a couple of days.

Woohoo, congratulations. I take it you've not even been out in it yet? First (static) impressions?

My (very static) first impressions as i've only backed it out of the driveway in order to reverse it back in so only covered about 10 yards in total.

Spent awhile setting up the sensus display / radio presets and the memory seats to my requirements which was all fairly straight forward, the engine noise is well insulated from the cabin the only minor niggle is the gear selector is a lot clunkier than the dsg selector in my VW but i will get used to it.
Glad i went with the dark brown (amber?) leather option as the default charcoal colour made the cabin look very dark when i viewed a v60 at the dealers.

In short everything seems well screwed together its just a shame i haven't been able to drive it anywhere yet.
