T8 Electric Only Range

Hi all

Considering a V90 T8 at the moment and just curious as to what sort of realistic range is achievable on electric only with a full charge? Driving is a mix of town and rural.

Not sure if it helps but we had a XC90 T8, mixture of rural/town driving, our school run was 18 miles round trip and we could just make 16 miles on a full electric drive, this was driving carefully. Slightly less in the colder months, It really is more suited to short city journeys, On a long journey it was horrendous on fuel, especially fully loaded and pushing on, high teens was very common on longer journeys

That is very useful thanks. I was after views from anyone with any of the T8 models tbh, as they're all going to be broadly similar in performance.

Interesting what you say then. And it mirrors what I've read. Great if you can utilise the electric range to its maximum, then you might get a good run on the engine, but on longer journeys expect that economy to start to tank. Puts us in a quandary tbh - sounds like on a day to day basis it would suit us reasonably well, but we plan on using it for holidays as well, regularly to the southwest and potentially the odd one to the continent. Sounds like it would be a bit of a thirsty choice for those longer trips.

We had a very early T8, with the small fuel tank which drove me crazy ( Think it was 40 litres) on a long journey it was a real pain, in all honesty the diesel is a better proposition all-round, and apart from the relative few individuals will produce overall better mpg, factoring in the additional costs of T8 it makes it. a very hard sell

doesn't the older V60 D6 have something like an 80 mile electric only range?

Granted that is a diesel but it ad me interested before i bought the V90 CC.

I was thinking of a T8 next but doesn't really seem worth it.

Well we've binned the idea off. Not helped by having a test drive booked and then waiting for 40mins with no sign of it happening.

My parents have one of these (V60 D6), I think it's 20-30 miles
