Volvo V60 lease thread

Love the car, its very smooth, but not suitable if you want a sporty drive, it feels more like a limo, relaxing.
Our spec inludes Intellisafe and winter pack, but with hindsight I would have gone with the reversing camera as its really hard to judge the length of the car.
I agree with the smoothness; it was the primary reason I bought mine. I picked up a year old example at the end of last year; it's an ex-management car with almost every option on it bar the rear seat heating. I wouldn't be without the 360 camera system, it really is fantastic on such a long car. There's been a bit of adverse comment on other threads mainly about the allegedly dozy auto box, and in particular the stop-start system. I even commented on the general thread, no doubt to the disgust of the "thread only about deals" contingent that I particularly dislike stop-start systems as they are generally implemented and generally disable it on every trip, so a system which requires digging through multiple nested screens to get to the setting would probably be a deal breaker for me.
So I've downloaded the Volvo owner manual app, and have been browsing through the V60 manual, 700 pages of it.
Anyway I see with the Drive Mode settings, that the Dynamic Mode, as opposed to Comfort and Eco modes, automatically disables the stop-start system. Also you can select the Dynamic Mode as the preferred setup everytime you start the vehicle. Have I got that right? Any downsides? It also prattles on about adjusting suspendion settings, presumably only if you have those options. Not yet discovered how to turn stop-start off using the touch screen, only 699 pages to go.
I’m assuming it’s the same setup as the v90 so once you set up your personal drive mode you can have it disable the auto stop/start.So I've downloaded the Volvo owner manual app, and have been browsing through the V60 manual, 700 pages of it.

I agree about the auto box not the best but certainly not the worst!
There are certainly cars sitting around awaiting delivery and from the sounds of it, most are still going to customers, but lease companies are trying to take precautions about people defaulting.
My V60 cross country T5 is arriving on Wednesday (at last!) and I was asked for a letter confirming I was still in a position to fund the lease, which was odd. Even the broker was surprised and embarrassed by asking that. No bother for me, but odd.
Then there was the matter of VED as the car was supposed to be delivered before April and the increase. Quite a lot of discussion went on about that...

Really impressed with our V60 cross country T5 , but it only has 700 miles on despite delivery early in MarchMy V60 cross country T5 is arriving on Wednesday (at last!) and I was asked for a letter confirming I was still in a position to fund the lease, which was odd. I've just signed the paperwork and got around to agreeing 'delivery' on a S60. Now I had assumed that the car would be delivered but the dealer is asking me to collect. Not normally a problem apart from the fact Volvo Car Leasing selected a dealer 4 hours away from where I live.
Before I go back to the dealer and negotiate a delivery can I ask if anyone else has got a car delivered via Volvo Car Leasing or have they all been collection?

I got one of the recent V60 deals and all of the contact with Volvo car leasing stated COVID safe delivery to my home, however, once the dealer got involved they would only allow me to collect and wanted to charge me for delivery. A quick call to Volvo car leasing and they sorted it out within 30 minutes, they called the dealer, not sure what was said, but the dealer contacted me and promised delivery FOC (although in the end I collected it anyway for a few different reasons)Before I go back to the dealer and negotiate a delivery can I ask if anyone else has got a car delivered via Volvo Car Leasing or have they all been collection?

Many thanks for this - Can I ask what number you used to contact Volvo Car Leasing by phone. I only seem to have their webchat via leasing.com. hobnobbler said:

Is there anyway of getting the car to always remember ‘Individual’ driving mode each time you start? Getting annoyed that I can’t seem to do it? Seems odd when it remembers everything else, seat positions, screen layouts etc but not the driving mode.
