Is there anyway of getting the car to always remember ‘Individual’ driving mode each time you start? Getting annoyed that I can’t seem to do it? Seems odd when it remembers everything else, seat positions, screen layouts etc but not the driving mode.
I have the same question
I assume it always starts up in one mode, Comfort, as a way of protecting the certified consumption figures, in the same way many always have stop/start operative on startup so has to be disabled everytime.

Annoying if it does. On our previous Octavia scout it remembered the mode so always started in what it was left in, in my case individual so that I could combine sharp steering with regular gearshifts

I agree with the smoothness; it was the primary reason I bought mine. I picked up a year old example at the end of last year; it's an ex-management car with almost every option on it bar the rear seat heating. I wouldn't be without the 360 camera system, it really is fantastic on such a long car.
Does it have one of the upgraded stereos? My SO and I are quite taken with the V60 as a replacement for our V40 but we basically just want a comfy car with a stereo that can take out bikes easily.

Unfortunately its an option that doesn't seem to be ticked very often, especially on Inscription trim cars.

Assuming you have set up and saved your individual driver mode, then what's involved switching from standard using the scroll wheel? Press>Scroll>Press. rolleyes

Well yes it is as simple as that but even so I still forget as it’s something I have never had to do before. Seems a strange omission given the amount of customisation available even down the point of loading the profile of the driver depending on which key is used.

To be fair I'm being a bit harsh. Every time you fire up our Citroen it's only a dab at the touchscreen to select vehicle settings, slide the virtual 'stop/start' selector to off, dab screen to go to radio or nav or whatever. It is truly irritating, especially when you forget and the engine stops just as you're trying to trickle up to taking a gap on a roundabout.

Yet it remembers things like temperature setting and radio channel which are even quicker to select.

When we got ours. Dealer spent an hour setting up the car with us, showing us how to do everything. He has a chap who’s job is to do that. He also said he could come out to us if we needed to go through anything again.

Yes came with the sim - the sim was installed in front of our eyes by the dealer when he did all of the set up.

Our car was new in 4th March this year, so there isn't much time for the situation to have changed.

The sim card is dealer fit, but seems to be done on handover. Mine was done whilst the salesman did the handover, although it did take a bit of messing around to configure it. I was pleased it was there problem to set up.

Mine also had the SIM card already fitted, it hadn’t been registered though so took a while for me to figure out why is was not working. All good now though.

So the current XC60 lease is almost 2 years old and going back shortly. Can't decide between V60 R-design in T4 or T5 guise - Any thoughts?

Assuming you actually mean B4(P) or B5(P) which is the latest designation.

Both limited to 112mph.
B4 7.7 to 60, B5 6.6.
Both FWD.

What's the cost difference? If it's a fair wedge then an expensive 1.1 second as apart from that no difference.

So I collected my Santander supplied car last year on the 23rd August, the service reminder has been on for a week now.
Am I correct in that the car is to be serviced every 12 months or 18K miles, whichever comes first.

What's the latest I can have it serviced and avoid any penalties? I think I read somewhere up to 30 days late is the max but can't find it anywhere in writing.

  • edit*
Just found it is 1000 miles or 1 month late here:

https://www.volvocars.com/uk/own/maintenance/volvo...

The car is saying it's due on the 17th August for some reason.

Anyone had issues with Santander since returning cars.

BCA inspected and I had no charges but they took a full payment the month after and haven’t refunded the part month from when they collected. I cancelled the DD after this to stop them taking more.

I’ve emailed customer services twice and not heard back. Anyone had a similar experience and how did you get it sorted?

Same with me, but they didn't charge me for the missing key so I just kept quiet.

Thread resurrection!

I’m looking at a V60 B3p Momentum deal from Santander (1+35 at £295 including smartphone integration).

Do you guys have any pointers to look out for it I go for it? Anyone got any experience of the 163bhp engine? Servicing costs, fuel consumption, likes/dislikes etc?

I want to like the car but I’m not sure how I feel about 3 years with just this as our only family car (good for lugging our two kids aged under 5, but not very PH!)

I’d really appreciate your thoughts.

Cheers!
